The Le Meridien Sheraton Hotel, located in Uptown Charlotte, is a 605-room dual complex with 65,000 sq. ft of meeting and conference space. Bartender will primarily work at City Lights Rooftop. The ideal Bartender candidate will have at least three to six months related experience, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent service. PM Shift Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guests and the service bar. Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer. Collect money for drinks and food served. Order and requisition liquors and supplies. Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. Replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in bar area. Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints. Use proper etiquette guidelines with guests. RESPONSIBILITIES * Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform * Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: "Good Morning or Welcome to Huddle House." * Review the menu with customers when needed, suggestively sell products, and take orders from each customer at the table * Using proper, approved abbreviations and submit tickets to the cook's station * Deliver food in a timely manner to the customer when food is ready * Handle money from customers, account for all tickets, credit cards receipts, and make sure that all tickets have been rung up and closed before shift is over * Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift * Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as detailed or assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to: bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms and walls * Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and customer service complaints * Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, which juices, add-ons and desserts to suggestively sell products * Know and follow the Huddle House steps of service with each and every guest to maximize shift sales QUALIFICATIONS * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff * Some previous restaurant experience preferred * "Can do" attitude and willingness to be at your during your shift OUR VALUES * Commitment to Excellence * Work Hard * Teamwork * Make a Difference * Have Fun

A Barback is responsible for assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently. Their duties include replacing kegs, restocking glassware and other supplies needed to make drinks and maintaining a clean dining space throughout their shift. Barback Duties and Responsibilities Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours. Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws. Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter. Keep the bar area neat and clean. Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the bar (i.e. wipe down surfaces, push chairs and stools in, arrange drink menus and salt and pepper shakers, etc.) Coordinate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers. Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drains. Follow all opening, closing, and key-holding procedures during each shift. Perform food delivery and service to customers efficiently. The ability to think on your feet, prioritize customer needs and requests and to do several things simultaneously is required. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Equipment to be used: Must be able to operate a touch screen computer running point-of-sales and cash registers. Knowledge of draft beer and soda fountain equipment as well as blender, frozen drink machines and other typical bar equipment is essential. Typical Physical Demands: Ability to handle high stress levels during service hours. Ability to carry trays and miscellaneous items of up to 50 pounds. This position requires moderate strength and physical fitness. The position also requires repeated bending, stooping, reaching and a normal range of hearing and vision. Requires ability to function professionally in a challenging and demanding environment as well as the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods of time and the ability to possibly work in extreme temperatures during long shifts.
