Come join our team on the Island of Much More! *This position offers commission opportunities* Banquet Bartender Job Summary: A Banquet Bartender position is responsible for providing intuitive service to members by mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as offering customized recommendations. They will be responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the bar, as well as provide support to all other Front of House positions. Banquet Bartender Responsibilities: Greets and communicates with all members & staff in a friendly, courteous, and prompt manner. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) at the beginning of each shift to ensure understanding of products and services available for the event. Reports to work as indicated on schedule. Mixes alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with standards and recipes. Demonstrate and maintain thorough knowledge of Clubhouse Menu and daily specials. Accurately and efficiently enters orders in POS system. Maintains inventory of liquors, supplies, and beverages needed at bar and informs management when additional supplies are required. Ensures freshness and quality of fruits and juices. Arranges cups and bottles to maintain predetermined display. Smiles and shows genuine interest in members needs or questions and always tries to accommodate any reasonable request. Maintains a clean and safe dining and work area at all times, in accordance with the Health Code regulations. Provides support to other FOH team members when necessary. Follows alcohol awareness safety standards. Communicates kindly, clearly, and efficiently with team members, receives information and feedback, takes action on observations and feedback received. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Works a variety of shifts to include holidays, nights and all weekends. Performs all other duties as assigned by any TLC manager. Banquet Bartender Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Minimum of one year experience as a bartender, OR a certificate of completion of a bar program. Must have knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as familiarity with standard drink recipes. Previous experience in recommending and serving fine wines and liquors is highly preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow verbal instructions in English. Must have desire to provide exceptional service to all members. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including (but not limited to) stressful and highly emotional situations. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils * Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies * Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions * Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc. * Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests * Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars * Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process * Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs * Properly open and pour wine at the tableside * Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident * Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed * Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor * Be willing to fill in for absent staff as needed * Assist with special events as needed * Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently * Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary Daily Operations and Customer Experience: * Maintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hours * Build strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership * Create an "I Love My Job" environment that further enlivens the Margaritaville Latitude Lifestyle. * Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules * Maintain a pristine dining area at all times. Technical competencies: Education: * High School Graduate or GED preferred. Experience: * Previous serving experience required * Excellent oral communication skills required * Positive interpersonal skills required * Food Handlers Card * Good telephone speaking and listening ability Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: * Must be willing to work nights and weekends. * Basic knowledge of beer, wine, & spirits * Communication skills (listening, verbal and written) * Organizational skills * Attention to detail * Problem solving skills * Common Sense * Team player but can work independently * Have fun!!!
