Fireside is a cafeteria, Lakeside Grille is a quick service restaurant, Courtyard Café, Places Restaurant, and the newest, Stories Public House and Metropolitan are full service restaurants, and then there's the Coffee Shoppe. Each outlet is at least a mix scratch restaurant. Courtyard Café, Places, Stories Pub, and Metropolitan are 70 to 99% scratch made-to-order kitchens. Lakeside has some cook-to-order and some batch cooking for the meal period. Fireside is mostly batch cooking. All kitchens utilize prep and line cooks under the tutelage and leadership of a chef. Check averages range from $6.50 at Fireside to $20.00 at Metropolitan. All outlets feature flexible hours, full- and part-time positions. All full-time positions are benefit-eligible to include up to 5 weeks of PTO for the year. The ideal candidate would have high-volume serving experience with some knowledge of craft beer. We are looking for Day-Time and Night-Time servers and full and part time!
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bartenders, cooks, management, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is desired, but not required.
Responsibilities Include:
Be a Brand Ambassador
Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
Enter orders in POS system
Engage with customers in a friendly manner
Knowledge of the menu, cocktail/wine list and beer taps with the ability to make suggestions
Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
Collect payments from tables
Show appreciation to our guests every transaction
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
Help food preparation staff when necessary
Complete opening and closing duties
Follow running side work and end of shift side work
Server Requirements:
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment desired
