Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning glassware, surfaces, and waste disposal. Monitor and report inventory levels for beverages, garnishes, and supplies to avoid shortages. Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations, including verifying guest identification. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and enforce responsible service practices. Adhere to all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service. Your Qualifications Includes: Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is required, with bartending experience highly preferred. Comprehensive understanding of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation techniques, appropriate glassware, and bar equipment, including knowledge of legal regulations for alcohol service (TIPS certification or ability to obtain is required). Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences. Basic proficiency with computer systems for order processing and inventory tracking. Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Job Purpose: Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serves food for guest consumption, and operates cash register. Maintains a safe, sanitary, and presentable work area by securing beverage cabinets and taps, checking beverage products for appropriate temperature and freshness, replenishing as necessary, following correct beverage cooling and storage procedures, cleaning bar counters, bottles and coolers, loading and operating glass washing machine, and arranging bottles and glasses following established procedures Provides accounting of transactions during shift by charging for the correct amount of alcohol poured, entering cash transactions in to point-of-sale system, counting currency, logging guest comps, points and credit cards on to cashier drop work sheet, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor or food services management team.
