The Production Operator is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the inputs and create the final high-quality final products. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the Operator job family that could range in specific duties from receiving and handling the raw materials, adding value through a variety of proprietary processes, to packaging the final product. In all stages of production safety, attention to detail, a quality and sanitation focus, and efficiency are key to the success of the operation.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
6 plus months of manufacturing experience required

The Warehouse Technician facilitates a smoothly running warehouse environment by ensuring that groundwork processes, procedures, and methods are utilized. The Warehouse Technician ensures the receipt, coordination, organization, and safe storage of materials within the warehouse. The Warehouse Technician tracks delivery arrival and dispatch times, confirms quantities of items needed, and stages materials for production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.

* Trend and report results from Regulatory, customer and third party audits and inspection reports at a Divisional level in alignment with FSQ governance where applicable. Manage relationship with SQF certifying body and support plant quality teams to manage audit schedule and reporting. Partner with cross functional stakeholders to identify, design, and implement process and system improvements to facilitate sharing of key learnings, best practices, and drive continuous improvement from audit findings to support the Quality Management System and Programs.
* Develop and support a cross-functional Divisional internal audit program. Provide training and audit program materials as warranted. Trend internal audit results to develop continuous improvement plan.
* Partner with Divisional resources to improve Customer Supplier Quality. Define and maintain data collection process that ensures manufacturing sites receive high quality materials every day. Leverage trend analysis and audit findings to close gaps in packaging quality, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance to DFA and customer requirements.
* Work with Retort Solutions Division Continuous Improvement, Quality Systems and other business cross-functional representatives to deliver value by trend analysis and KPI reporting to drive continuous improvements on leading key indicator measures. Prioritize and drive focused FSQ improvement efforts, according to business risks identified by SWOT analysis and other assessments, such as external and internal audits.
* Plant Quality Program Development and Improvement (ex. EMP, Sanitation) and RS Divisional Document Owner. Develop and deliver plant level Retort Solutions Division FSQ program training as directed
* Promote harmonization and compliance to DFA Corporate policy/procedure with RS Divisional policy/procedure.

The Summer Work Experience Program Job Coach is responsible for managing participants that are in the Program. The Job Coach is expected to train, mentor, or coach program individuals in group work settings in accordance with their person-centered vocational plan. The Job Coach is expected to help with day-to-day team tasks, coordinate with site representatives, and maintain administrative tasks throughout each week. Must be willing to work in a specific location throughout the duration of the program, however, needs to be flexible to various working environments.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE
Experience working with individuals with disabilities in vocational rehabilitation and/or training settings is a plus, but not a requirement
COMPUTER SKILLS
MS Office, Internet, basic computer knowledge
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must have a valid driver's license at time of application
Obtain a Class E Chauffeur's License (If applicable to the site)
May also be to obtain and maintain DOT Certification (If transporting more than 7 including driver).
1st aid/CPR certified preferred, but not
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of programs and services for people with developmental disabilities preferred
Willingness to travel on company business in personal or company vehicle.
Good written, oral, and communication skills.
Ability to be flexible.
Lifting to 50 lbs.
Ability to handle extreme weather temperatures
Respect the rights and dignity of people with Developmental Disabilities and willingness to advocate on their behalf.

Responsibilities
Schedule the inbound and/or outbound delivery of products and orders to customers via contract or company truck drivers. Coordinate with the location's personnel to provide trucking arrangements for all freight needs. Utilize RFN system (review routes, assign route number, release pick ticket information to scanning equipment) for trucks and/or will calls. Coordinate staging, storage of all door material, slabs, jambs, glass, etc. Create day-to-day safety awareness and DOT and OSHA regulations. Develop efficient delivery schedules effectively utilizing trucks and/or use of contract drivers. Assure timely filing of DOT reports and Driver Services records. Maintain profiles and freight contracts, motor carrier profiles, shipping rates, driving logs, etc. and update the Agility system as appropriate. Monitor hours of service compliance, and message Truck Drivers as needed through PeopleNet system.May train driving associates. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion, and frequent periods of sitting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically three (3) to five (5) years of experience in related job function. May require technical certification or associates degree. Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations, requirements and truck driver safety a plus. Effective communication skills. Ability to perform tasks in a fast paced work environment. Requires proficiency in utilizing computer software applications necessary for performing job responsibilities. Ability to understand and apply addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Job Duties

Creating and maintaining plant displays
Ability to communicate with Territory Manager daily concerning conditions in garden center
Assist garden center staff
Maintain and set garden center signage.
Unload plants from trucks and carts
Display plants by varieties, color, categories, price, and sun requirements
Able to push, pull carts and lift plant trays and pots - Up to 50lbs
Watering plants when needed
Utilize Dan and Jerry's online inventory system to account for unsellable product
Dispose of unsellable plant material
Other tasks as deemed necessary to the success of garden center
