Key Responsibilities: Mentorship & Athlete Development: Support student-athletes by fostering growth, discipline, teamwork, and respect both on and off the field. Program Support: Assist the Head Coach in implementing a comprehensive baseball program focused on skill development, competitive success, and a positive team culture. Compliance & Eligibility: Ensure athletes meet academic, behavioral, and eligibility standards set by OHSAA and Garfield Heights City Schools. Practice & Game Preparation: Help design and facilitate structured practice plans, assist with developing game strategies, and support in-game decision-making as needed. Team Operations: Assist with team communications, scheduling logistics, equipment distribution, and game-day preparation. Safety & Conduct: Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment at all practices, games, travel events, and team activities. Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and the community to strengthen support for the baseball program. Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate attendance, athlete development records, and other program documentation. Professional Growth: Stay up-to-date on coaching techniques, OHSAA requirements, and best practices in youth athletic development. Other Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Varsity Head Baseball Coach, Athletic Director, or school administration.
