As a chemical operator you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production equipment inthe Cincinnati, OH plant. This includes operation of chemical processing equipment; including reactors, refining,and filtration systems. Also involves the transfer of material to and from other departments as necessary andloading of tank trucks and rail cars for customer shipments. During your rotating shift as a Chemical Operator, you will * Load and unload tanks and rail cars and receipt of truck deliveries, in addition to perform collection of samplesfrom tank cars and vessels. * Conduct visual inspection of operating equipment to determine current operating status whilst demonstrateeffective operations of the DCS in daily work environment. * Read, record, and interpret data of instruments (reactors, tanks, pumps, filtration systems, etc.) and makecorrective adjustments as required for efficient production runs. * Demonstrate proficiency at operating all production equipment, with minimal supervision, as well as use ofcomputer systems to complete work assignments. * Participate in all required safety training and wear proper personal protective equipment when working in theplant area. * Perform housekeeping to maintain production and operations in a neat and orderly condition. * Work and communicate effectively with Supply Chain Planners, Logistics Planner, Production Coordinator,Maintenance, Lab, team members, etc. to accomplish high quality standards that meet/exceed customerrequirements. * Support and adhere to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care, EPA and OSHAinitiatives by protecting the environment, health, safety and security of our employees, contractors, carriers,distributors, visitors, customers, and neighbors. POSITION/TITLE: Print Equipment Operator WORK LOCATION: Higginsville, MO POSITION REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor WORK TYPE: ON SITE JOB SUMMARY: The Print Equipment Operator insures that he or she follows SQF; GMP's and work policies/procedures. Visually inspects operations and product on all assigned print lines to ensure that a food safe quality product is being produced at standard production rates with a minimum of scrap. He/she assures that the equipment is being properly maintained and that all area work and safety rules are being followed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately. Reports to all scheduled shifts and attends meetings as required Assures that all products being printed meet customer specifications and that only food safe quality products are allowed to enter the packaging bins by continually monitoring the quality of the products being printed and packaged. Stops the defects found, and corrects the problems with a sense of urgency. Ensures maximum production rates by diagnosing equipment problems and makes necessary repairs and adjustments. Preforms equipment changeovers in an efficient manner, making certain that all proper changeover parts are installed, and correct adjustments made to ensure a food safe quality production, and that the changeover is made with a minimum of equipment downtime. Cleans all changeover parts removed during a product change and returns them to the proper place. Tags any defective parts in need of repair. Ensures adequate supply of inks, labels, and bulk products are available to be fed to his/her assigned machines by monitoring its usage closely and procuring additional supplies as needed. Performs all daily preventive maintenance as required on the furnished preventive maintenance checklist. Communicates with the outgoing/incoming Working Forepersons to ensure coordination of shift activities. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times. Reacts immediately to quality problems found by other team personnel by stopping the defect being made and correcting the problem. Advises the Working Foreperson when assistance is required. Works safely and considers the safety of others at all times. Participates in the training of new employees and upholds the training practices of the training program. Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma REQUIRED EXPEREINCE/SKILLS: Van Dam & Kase Offset Printer experience preferred. Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure corrective action is taken.
