The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the Packaging Department operations in our food manufacturing facility. Main Responsibilities

Ensure yourself and your team complete all training assigned by the company before the target due date. Deliver instructor-led training to team as assigned.
Lead projects to reduce or eliminate points of waste on the line or in the packaging process. Apply the DMAIC methodology to identify, execute, and sustain improvement projects within the packaging department.
Responsible for required reporting, documentation, and communication including submitting necessary paperwork or reports to document daily attainment, writing technical documents to maintain standardization, using email to communicate professionally and effectively, and operating mobile platform to monitor and document overall equipment efficiency and quality datasheets. Must complete required reporting for a safety incident, manage material inventory along with employee time and attendance.
Execute employee validation program. Coordinate training of employees to meet their expected set of skills. Create development plans, when necessary to improve employee deficiencies. Evaluate and document when employees pass or fail validation stage gates.

Job Summary
To be able to operate all BAF trucks from point A to point B as directed. To safely and legally meet all legal obligations as a current licensed CDL Class A driver. Responsible to haul all products and materials as needed for BAF.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate the yard dog and move trailers around our facility in Shelley. You must be able to:
1. Legally and safely operate BAF vehicles. Be drug and alcohol-free, and follow drug and alcohol rules and regulations as prescribed by law, submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
2. Clean all trailers taken to the plant for loading purposes and document with a container and loading checklist.
3. Be sure all loads traveling from the plant or warehouse have bills of lading with them. Must fill out a yearly form, motor vehicle drivers certification of violations
4. Make sure driver maintenance is performed, grease 5th wheel, adjust brakes, check oil and fluids, tires etc. Once a day driver will fill out a vehicle inspection report.
5. Following the SAFE philosophy, talk with employees observed to be working unsafely in order to stop the unsafe behavior and explain the safe way of performing a given task. Participate in the Safe Observations
6. Protect yourself, others, and customers by following safe work practices, GMP's and Sanitation Guidelines

Participate in the maintenance budget development, to ensure the highest return on budget and asset investments based on equipment and program data.
Identify potential for cost reduction through extended asset life, reduce labor cost, and other asset/practices-related improvement techniques.
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and property risk consultants to assure, applicable code compliance fire system maintenance, equipment reliability and inspections are scheduled and complete with minimal risk of mechanical or system failures.
Ensure health and safety standards are included and adhered to in written procedures and training.
Active involvement in the plant safety and quality effort and the assurance of all plant safety, housekeeping, regulatory, and policies within the assigned area.
Stay current in maintenance reliability technologies and best practices through trade magazines, seminars, and facility reliability conventions.
Lead Capital Equipment Improvement projects as needed in support of on-going Reliability and Mechanical improvements.

Skill & Experience Requirements

Qualifications/Required Skills
