Check drawings of other Team Members and can check for coordination with other disciplines. Mentor less-experienced Drafters. Coordinate the work with other discipline and project team members. Prepare material take-offs, lists and schedules as assigned to complete project documentation. Travel to project meetings or job sites to aid in project completion. Qualifications: Is proficient in all skills and abilities of a Drafter I. Additionally, proficient in the following: Able to create and update Drawing Lists and Transmittals. Completes assigned modeling and drawing work with less supervision than a Drafter I. Minimal direction needed on common tasks. Consistently checks work before returning it to Supervisor. The work is complete and accurate. Little rework is needed. Can work efficiently to meet project schedules and estimated hours. Mentors Interns and new hires. This includes checking their work and explaining comments. Able to communicate with Vendors and Customers as needed on drawing-related issues. Exercise of engineering judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives. Takes more of a lead role in the project, including regular communication with Customers and Vendors. Reporting Structure: Sr. Project Manager, Project Manager, Discipline Engineer. Education/Experience: A two-year technical associate's degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant technical experience or a four-year technical degree and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant technical experience. Responsibilities: Prepare intermediate level designs and layouts as assigned by Discipline Engineer or Project Manager. Able to coordinate design development with the other disciplines in a Project Team. Cross checks between the disciplines. Regularly attend Customer and Vendor Meetings. Able to regularly communicate with Customers and Vendors. The Automation & Controls Technician I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems and processes within the organization that meet design, performance, and safety specifications as well as comply with safety standards and regulations. The role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross- functional teams. The Automation & Controls Technician I plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems, contributing to increased efficiency, reliability, and safety within industrial processes. Reporting Structure: Sr. Project Manager, Project Managers, Engineers Position Responsibilities: Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs to control machinery and processes. Design and develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for monitoring and control. Calibrate and configure instrumentation devices such as sensors, transmitters, and actuators. Set up and configure communication networks for efficient data exchange between control devices. Identify and resolve issues related to automation and control systems. Conduct diagnostics to pinpoint faults and implement corrective actions. Upgrade existing automation systems to improve performance or accommodate changes in requirements. Modify control system configurations as needed. Work closely with Automation & Controls Engineers to understand system requirements and design specifications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for control systems, including drawings, schematics, and manuals. Conduct quality control checks on implemented automation solutions to ensure they meet design specifications. Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users. Assist in the commissioning of automation systems, including hardware and software components on-site. Other Responsibilities: Stay updated on advancements in automation and control technologies. Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new technologies that can enhance system performance. Participate in training programs to enhance skills in programming software and automation/control systems. Provide training to operations and maintenance personnel on the use and maintenance of control systems.
