ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to support engineering projects with a focus on permitting, water resources, and construction compliance. This role combines fieldwork, environmental assessments, and regulatory documentation while working closely with engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Conduct field investigations (wetland delineations, stream assessments, habitat surveys).
Prepare environmental permit applications (USACE, state stormwater, NPDES, etc.).
Support water resources and stormwater compliance on design and construction projects.
Perform construction site inspections for erosion, sediment, and environmental compliance.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for permitting and regulatory submittals.
Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, water resources, or construction compliance (consulting experience preferred).
Knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act, stormwater regulations, and related environmental laws.
Strong technical writing, GIS, and data analysis skills.
Willingness to travel and perform outdoor fieldwork.
