Position: 1st Shift Inspector Packer Job Summary Inspect and sort molded or assembled parts or products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications. Pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications. Pay: $16 USD/hr Responsibilities Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configurations according to the established quality standard. Perform secondary operations per requirement to meet customer specifications. This may include part rework, assembly, repack tasks. Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to the established quality standards. Record production data accurately during shift and complete Secondary Operations documentation as required. Remove molded parts from WIP container and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards. Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris. Transfer parts in/out of the curing oven as required/instructed. Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area. Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control. Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities. Follow all Environmental and Safety policies. Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of extreme heat and humidity. Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal 8-hour work shift. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. About You As a Bovine Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll support daily operations of the bovine veterinary team by assisting with cleaning and sanitation, surgical room sterilization, inventory room organization, and laboratory preparation tasks. The role is essential in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Role Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to * Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of bovine facilities, treatment areas, and workspaces in accordance with established protocols * Clean, assemble, sterilize, and properly store surgical instruments and equipment * Assist with inventory room operations, including stocking, organizing supplies, monitoring expiration dates, and reporting low inventory levels * Prepare laboratory materials and workspaces for procedures * Assist Veterinary Technicians and Doctors with appointments * Follow biosafety, animal welfare, and workplace guideline at all times * Assist staff as needed with basic tasks related to bovine care or procedures * Maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude while supporting veterinarian and technicians * Assist with other tasks as required Experience & Skills Requirements: * Must have experience working with bovine * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Positive attitude * Must be able to work well independently and as a team * Have a teamwork mindset, be able to anticipate veterinarian needs * Have exceptional dedication to animal care and facility cleanliness * Ability to perform essential job functions outdoors in varying weather conditions, including but not limited to excessive heat or cold, rain, and icy conditions, with our without reasonable accommodation * Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the role, with or without reasonable accommodation * Available to work 40+ hours a week About the Hospital Elgin Veterinary Hospital is a Bovine and Equine emergency referral and primary care facility that offers the best in medical and surgical treatments.
