Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a graduate degree in Psychology, Counselor Education, or related field from an accredited institution. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in clinical supervision of novice clinical mental health counselors and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition, it is desirable candidates have experience in graduate level teaching.

The successful candidate will lead the development of a new Comprehensive Asthma Program at Seattle Children's Hospital. The faculty member will engage in pediatric rheumatology clinical care in the outpatient, inpatient, and outreach settings, as well as immunosuppressive medication management and intraarticular aspirations/injections. The Division of Rheumatology, at Seattle Children's Hospital and Research Institute and the University of Washington, is world-renowned as one of the oldest programs in the world and is the largest in the United States - with 13 physicians and 4 nurses that serve the states of Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Montana. Our diverse population of patients come primarily from these states, and represent a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds as well as unique and rare diseases. This role is crucial in translating groundbreaking research into clinical practice, ensuring the safe and efficient evaluation of new treatments. The successful candidate will partner with leaders of the Fred Hutch immunotherapy integrated research center and cell-based therapy team to develop and execute an institutional early phase trial strategy. The Program Head will foster strong collaborations with translational researchers and clinical investigators at UW and Fred Hutch and will forge partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical industry partners to grow the phase I program assets and advance our mission of delivering transformative cancer therapies to our patients.
The Program Head's overall responsibility will be to maintain and expand our Phase 1 clinical trials program in collaboration with our immune therapy and cell-based therapy teams. Field Instructors are part-time faculty appointed into the title of Teaching Associate (0169) and work with elementary education student teacher candidates at K-12 levels, as well as with candidates in the dual endorsement program for ESOL and/or SPED.
