    Job Details Radisson Corning - Corning, NY Full-Time/Part-Time High School $11.07 - $11.07 Hourly Any Restaurant - Food ServiceDescription The Captain is primarily responsible for aiding in the service of dining/in-room dining guests, removing used tableware, and aiding in the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. This individual will promote a safe and welcoming working environment to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Essential functions Maintain assigned section(s) of the dining room or restaurant. Complete daily set up procedures. Greet guests as they enter the dining room. Ensure guest satisfaction by servicing their dining room needs. Communicate special guest needs to servers and/or supervisors. Collect and maintain the cleanliness of dining menus. Maintain communication with management, kitchen staff, service staff and guests to ensure dining details are handled properly. Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. Assist server as needed with food delivery. Take and deliver room service orders to in-room dining guests. Frequent clearing of hallways of trays and dishes. Open and close checks in point-of-sales system. Set up and serve special functions and events as scheduled. Participates in table and dining room clean up. Assist with answering phones, taking reservations or carry out orders. Reports tips for each pay period. Maintains dining room safety and sanitation. Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of windows, etc. Punches in, signs in, and reports to the Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager on time and in full uniform for each shift. Obtains Manager's approval prior to punching out. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager. Set up, service, and tear down lobby coffee station.
