Baton Rouge Clinic company history timeline

1946

Founded in 1946 by four local physicians who understood the importance and advantages of a group practice, The Baton Rouge Clinic remains dedicated to continually improving patient care while meeting the changing healthcare needs of our community.

1975

On July 4, 1975, the Clinic again relocated to a modern facility on Goodwood Boulevard.

1997

Million Hearts, a national initiative, has recognized the Clinic for its skill at treating hypertension, while many major insurance companies have honored the Clinic for being a leader in health care quality and cost. It has received recognition as one of the nation’s best performing practices of its kind from the Medical Group Management Association every year since 1997.

1999

The Clinic operated a number of satellite locations until October 1999 when the operations were condensed into two campuses, Goodwood Boulevard and the new building at 7373 Perkins Road.

2001

In June 2001 the Clinic was again housed under one roof, this time at the Perkins campus where it remains today.

2010

An urgent care clinic that opened in 2010, provides immediate treatment.
