The Good Samaritan Society is seeking to hire a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel RN This opportunity allows a RN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for the coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education and various other nursing interventions.
May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to license and unlicensed assistive personnel that are within the job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and the competence level of the delegate. Provides adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver pre-designed workouts to groups of 4+ members
Program and implement individualized workouts for members
Energize and motivate members throughout the sessions
Build fitness attendance and retain current members/clients
Complete fitness evaluations/consultations on all new members and training clients
Prescribe and sell personal training packages
Ensure safety of participants utilizing heart rate and exercise techniques
Provide options and challenges for specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
Attend weekly/monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
Support manager in membership sales and handle member concerns
Support manager and cleaning staff in maintaining club cleanliness and overall operations of the gym
Maintain all personal training clients’ and prospects’ information by tracking, uploading, and updating progress in Club-OS daily to better service their needs
Follow up with personal training prospects, obtain referrals/leads from current members and prospects
Achieve monthly sales, lead/referral, and fitness consultation goals
Create a positive club culture by developing relationships with members, providing educational training/events
Promote club culture and the club by using social media (the ability to market and post on Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Provide exceptional member service on all levels
Be a team player
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Have a strong knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
Must have a fitness certification/personal trainer certification from an AF fitness approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, NSCA, etc.
Bachelor's degree in an exercise related field is preferred but not mandatory
Current CPR/AED Certification
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills
Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
Must be willing to complete sales training and ongoing sales training
1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
Excellent communication and customer attention skills
Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50lbs and work in a gym setting
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Accredited Certification: ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, etc.
Current CPR/AED
Personal training experience: 1 year preferable

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with resident and family, other inter-disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Job Summary
The Medication Assistant (MA) serves as caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per plan of care. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psycho-social support and other personal care to assigned resident. May assist the resident in transferring, re-positioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and provides range of motion and passive exercises. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. May assist residents with meals and snacks; provide water and supplements as appropriate.
Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations. Documents the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates changing condition, medication follow-up and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements. Maintains all department specific required certifications. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Iowa: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained.
Minnesota: Must have nursing assistant certification, have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. Successful completion of a state-approved Trained Medication Assistant course.
North Dakota: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained. If working in an Assisted Living or Basic Care facility, Medication Assistant I certification required. If working in a skilled nursing facility, Medication Assistant II certification is required.
South Dakota: Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course. CMA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing.
For all Good Samaritan Society Locations: Must have the state required certified/trained medication aide certification (CMA or TMA). It is assumed that one must have their certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification prior to attaining their TMA/CMA.
