Operate a forklift to unload new carbon, move totes, and assist with loading of fine carbon bags. Mixing of new carbon for fines removal prior to sending to processing facilities. Operate a computer and related software for record keeping and circuit control. Job Description: General Objectives: Reporting to the Light Vehicle Supervisor, the Light Vehicle Mechanic typically works a rotating 5x4-day schedule. The mechanic repairs and maintains all light vehicle equipment through planned maintenance scheduling; monitors equipment; communicates equipment needs and issues; partners with operations departments and mobile planning to provide both tactical and strategic support for the needs of the mine to operate in an effective, efficient and safe manner. Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties: The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: * Lead by example, in all of Marigold's safety processes, ensuring safe practices are utilized while performing work. * Utilizes computer technology and work order system to troubleshoot and repair light and medium duty vehicles, to include preventative maintenance and component replacement * Implements continuous improvement of maintenance strategy that fully utilizes available workforce to achieve maximum equipment availability * Interprets information from schematics, maintenance and parts manuals * Performs work area housekeeping duties * Determines if work areas are safe and free of hazards.
