Position Summary:
The Home Based Family Case Manager provides support services to families within the home or in a community-based setting to families experiencing child abuse or neglect. He or she is responsible for preventing child abuse or neglect in the future.
The Home Based Case Manager helps to address underlying problems to abuse or neglect including unemployment, unstable housing, substance abuse, mental health concerns, domestic violence, and lack of community/social supports by connecting the family to resources within the community.
Essential Functions:

Schedule and complete appointments at times and locations that are convenient to the client including evenings and maintaining a flexible work week that adapts as changes are needed. Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals' household pests, mold, and other conditions common to domestic environments
Maintain regular communication with families by various means including phone contact, texting, drop-in visits, during extended business hours and by telephone and face-to-face for crisis situations
Requires travel to client homes and community locations
Refer client to community resources and research additional resources within the community as to create a working knowledge of resources within the assigned area
Complete client documentation in a timely manner
Develop short and long term family goals
Refer client to supportive services
Provide transportation to children and families
Observe parent child interactions and provide parent education
Independently manage work schedule
Facilitate intra-agency collaborations that support the Bauer mission
Complete a predetermined set of direct service hours
Assist with special projects or other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification/Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field from an accredited college.
Other Bachelor's degrees will be accepted in combination with a minimum of 2 years of experience providing a service to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children and/or providing skills training, development, and habilitation
Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the minimum requirements of the insurance company at all times.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Position Summary:
The Therapist provides structured, goal-oriented, time-limited therapy primarily in the natural environment of families who need assistance recovering from physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, or other issues.
Essential Functions:

Provide 24 hour crisis intake, intervention and consultation seven days week
Engage families in therapeutic process
Complete ongoing risk assessment and monitor family/parental progress
Develop short and long term family goals with measurable outcomes
Resolve immediate crises and teaches skills necessary for families to remain together and provide for the safety of all members of the family.
Participate in rotation of crisis phone and adheres to policies/procedures regarding crisis phone.
Complete a designated number of direct service hours
Secure supplementary information such as employment, medical records, or school reports.
Schedule sessions at times that are convenient to the client and when client problems are likely to occur including evenings and weekends maintaining a flexible workweek that adapts as changes are needed.
Accept new cases 24 hours a day 7 days per week upon request from a supervisor seeking to make contact and begin services within 24-48 hours of referral.
Travel to client homes and community locations.
Select and administer various tests such as psychological tests, personality inventories, and intelligence quotient tests, to identify behavioral or personality traits and intelligence levels, and records results. Reviews results of tests to evaluate client needs.
Attend Family Team Meetings and Court, including testimony, as requested.
Refer client to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
Collaboratively works with referral sources and other internal programs.
Manage schedule independently
Compile records in accordance with agency policies and prepares reports with their client, including assessments, treatment plans, daily case notes and monthly progress reports
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification/Licensure:
Master's or Doctorate degree with a current license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services licensing board as one of the following: 1) Social Worker, 2) Clinical Social Worker, 3) Marriage and Family Therapist, 4) Mental Health Counselor, 5) Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, 6) Mental Health Counselor Associate
Master's degree with a temporary permit issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services licensing board as one of the following: 1) Social Worker, 2) Clinical Worker, within 90 days or hire and 2 years related clinical experience
Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the requirements of the insurance carrier at all times

Position Summary:
The Home Based Family Case Manager provides support services to families within the home or in a community-based setting to families experiencing child abuse or neglect. He or she is responsible for preventing child abuse or neglect in the future.
The Home Based Case Manager helps to address underlying problems to abuse or neglect including unemployment, unstable housing, substance abuse, mental health concerns, domestic violence, and lack of community/social supports by connecting the family to resources within the community.
Essential Functions:

Schedule and complete appointments at times and locations that are convenient to the client including evenings and maintaining a flexible work week that adapts as changes are needed. Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals' household pests, mold, and other conditions common to domestic environments
Maintain regular communication with families by various means including phone contact, texting, drop-in visits, during extended business hours and by telephone and face-to-face for crisis situations
Requires travel to client homes and community locations
Refer client to community resources and research additional resources within the community as to create a working knowledge of resources within the assigned area
Complete client documentation in a timely manner
Develop short and long term family goals
Refer client to supportive services
Provide transportation to children and families
Observe parent child interactions and provide parent education
Independently manage work schedule
Facilitate intra-agency collaborations that support the Bauer mission
Complete a predetermined set of direct service hours
Assist with special projects or other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification/Licensure:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field from an accredited college.
Other Bachelor's degrees will be accepted in combination with a minimum of 2 years of experience providing a service to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children and/or providing skills training, development, and habilitation
Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the minimum requirements of the insurance company at all times.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Position Summary:
The Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head Start Teacher in providing children ranging in ages from 3 to 5 years, with learning experiences that promote school readiness. This includes the creation and implementation of individualized lesson plans, development of meaningful relationships with children and families, and the design of safe, engaging environments.

Assist Teacher with observing, documenting, and assessing student progress
Assist Teacher in analyzing student data
Assist Teacher in the development and implementation of lesson plans based on student data, interests, and developmental practices
Engage families in program services and activities that promote parenting skills, knowledge, and confidence
Conduct Family Conferences and Home Visits
Maintain clean, safe, and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments
Ensure compliance with Bauer Policies, State Licensing, and Head Start Program Performance Standards
Attend twice-monthly staff meetings, monthly Professional Development Days, quarterly All-Agency meetings, and annual Pre-Service
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass routine background checks.
Education/Certification/Licensure:
Proof of current enrollment in a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate program, OR enrollment in or completion of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program
Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the minimum requirements of the insurance carrier at all times
Experience Required:
1-2 years previous experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Commitment to serving children and families in poverty with the highest quality services
Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of child development and health and safety standards
Ability to create effective lesson plans that promote development
Organization and time management
Basic computer skills
Ability to fluently communicate in Spanish is a plus

Position Summary:
The Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for the program's implementation of comprehensive health and safety services. This includes regular collaboration with program staff, families, and community health and safety services.
Essential Functions:

Ensure timely completion of student hearing and vision screenings, as well as communication of results with families
Ensure compliance with completion and documentation of children's medical and dental examinations and records
Coordinate internal and external health referral processes
Ensure adequate program preparation for children with identified health needs
Collaborate with families and program staff to develop Individual Health Plans (IHP) when appropriate
Collaborate with community to enhance program services
Monitor accident reports, facility safety, emergency preparedness, and preventative health practices
Monitor student nutrition through growth assessments
Monitor nutritional services according to CACFP requirements
Ensure adequate training and monitoring of Family Style Dining practices
Complete monthly reports, documentation, and food procurement
Ensure compliance with Bauer Policies, State Licensing, and Head Start Program Performance Standards, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Attend monthly staff meetings, monthly Professional Development Days, quarterly All-Agency meetings, and annual Pre-Service
QUALIFICATIONS:
