**Overview**
Through depth and breadth of customer and industry knowledge, the **Director, National Accounts** will be responsible for aiding in the development of Strategic Markets Division (SMD) sales and marketing initiatives, contract strategies, and pull-thru programs for large strategic accounts. Assist in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment and molds and provide instruction to Maintenance Technicians personnel during maintenance or repair. Ensure proper set-up of molds and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completions of assigned tasks.
Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), ISO 13485 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.
Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of Cardinal Health employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources, and protects the environment.

The Technical Manager will lead a team in Platform Hardware engineering organization, driving initiatives to continuously improve performance and processes, executing successfully on projects to bring value for the company and our customers, and achieving key functional, business, and broad company objectives.
This is a People Leader role for a team of roughly 8-10 electronics hardware engineers that will require a talented individual to use their experience, knowledge, influence, and initiative to set strategy, manage team competency development, and drive engineering execution excellence.
The position spans products and projects and includes interfacing with numerous outside organizations. The role will report directly to the Platform Hardware Leader with moderate autonomy and require high levels of operational judgment.
Location: Melbourne, FL : An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ support and conduct strategic resource planning, then build an inclusive, highly technical, and high-performing team through recruitment and competency development, guide them through hard times, and celebrate their successes.
+ Manage department sub-section to achieve functional, business, and broad company objectives including engineering planning and budgeting, competency development, culture development, and process and execution excellence.
+ **Operate as the site focal for the Avionics hardware engineering team based in Melbourne, FL.**
+ Create and execute structured development plans customized for individual team members, including holding the team accountable for supporting development of others within the organization.
+ Set clear expectations for individual and team performance and manage/improve performance using controlled metrics and a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, clear communication, lean, and accountability through leading, motivating, and inspiring others.
+ Develop engineering competency that delivers results compliant with engineering processes and customer contractual requirements.
+ Allocate qualified engineering talent and manage outsource activities to satisfy project demands.
+ Support reporting and escalation rhythms with clear communication and firm understanding of status, active ownership and management to resolve issues, and a focus on continuous improvement.
+ Provide technical expertise and leadership for the pursuit of new business, the execution of existing business (NPI and IR&D), and the continuous improvement of hardware engineering processes, tools, and talent.
+ Drive effective startup of new projects, focusing on strategic planning, standardization, reporting/monitoring expectation setting, and One Team collaboration.
+ Demonstrate superior technical expertise to translate highly technical engineering concepts into workable solutions, leveraging engineering and product reuse.
+ Hold project teams accountable to deliver quantifiable results against Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) expectations
+ Assist project and program leadership in the timely resolution of engineering design, validation, integration, verification, safety, certification, closure, and other issues.
+ Develop influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels.
+ Provide specific engineering strategies, credibility, plans and actions that differentiate us from our competitors and make GE a great place to work both now and in the future.
+ Maintain high visibility as a key engineering leader in the Avionics business while being respected for maturity, professionalism, expertise, sound judgment, passion for excellence, long-term commitment, and uncompromising integrity.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ **Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college.**
+ **Minimum of 15 years of experience in a highly technical engineering field, preferably avionics systems.**
+ Demonstrated hardware engineering experience leading large-scale projects or programs.
+ Proficient in identifying stakeholder needs and collaborating with teams to define solutions.
+ Ability to operate in an environment of uncertainty when working with the application of new technologies or processes.
+ Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage and inspire both one-on-one as well as in broad audiences
+ Exceptional organization, written, and presentation skills.
+ Self-starter, persistent, thorough, objective, and accountable.
+ Effective at active listening, building trust, being inclusive, providing encouragement, inspiring teams, providing corrective feedback, and being open to new ideas and ways of achieving success.

The base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 3/31/25.
