José E. Almeida is a Brazilian businessman. He has served as the chairman and CEO of Baxter International, Inc. since January 2016. He worked for Tyco Healthcare from 1995 to 2002. He was president of Medical Devices division from October 2006 to June 2011. He served as chairman of the board of directors of Covidien since March 2012 and as the president, chief executive officer and a director since July 2011. He became a director of EMC Corporation on Jan 12, 2015 and resigned on October 30, 2015, due to his election as chairman and CEO of Baxter. In 2015, he worked for The Carlyle Group as an Operating Executive in the Global Healthcare group.

Cathy Smith is the executive vice president of strategy and chief financial officer for Walmart International, a fast-growing segment of Walmart's overall operations, with more than 6,100 stores and more than 800,000 associates in 26 countries outside the United States. Cathy is responsible for accounting and control, business planning and analysis, cash management, tax, treasury, investor relations in markets with public listings, merger and acquisition support and other business decision support. Cathy came to Walmart from GameStop, where she was executive vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to GameStop, she held executive vice president and chief financial officer roles at Centex Corp, a leading U.S. homebuilder, and Kennametal, a global industrial tool manufacturer. Cathy is a member of the board of directors for Walmex, Walmart’s Mexico and Central America operations. She is also a member of the board of directors for the Walmart Foundation and serves on Walmart’s President's Global Council of Women Leaders. Cathy earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of California and a master of business administration from the University of Southern California. She is also six sigma green belt certified. She and her husband, Ryan, have two sons.

James (Jay) Saccaro is executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Saccaro was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Hill-Rom Corporation prior to rejoining Baxter in 2014. He served as corporate vice president and treasurer of Baxter from 2011 to 2013. He originally joined the company in 2002 as manager of strategy for the company’s BioScience business, and over the years assumed positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of financial planning, and vice president of finance for the company’s operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He previously held strategy and business development positions at Clear Channel Communications and the Walt Disney Company.

Saccaro also serves as executive sponsor of Baxter Equality Network, a business resource group for employees dedicated to supporting inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender professionals and their straight allies at Baxter.

He received a bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in engineering-economic systems from Stanford University.
