Baxter's Round Lake pharmaceutical manufacturing facility ($148M VOP) is looking for a visionary Director of Manufacturing to drive the future of production. Your mission? As the leader of three vital manufacturing cells (Penicillin, Cephalosporin, and Non-Cephalosporin (15 lines)), you'll be responsible for ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Your Team
You will head a manufacturing team of five direct reports (Senior Manufacturing Managers and Project Managers), and 380 indirect (Supervisors, Team Leads, Operators, etc).
Serve as a critical member of the Round Lake Drug Delivery Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
You will collaborate closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, Finance, etc. to ensure patients receive the products they need.
What you'll be doing
Develops and proposes plant strategies and activities to support the manufacturing operating system.
Represent Manufacturing in new product designs to assure design for manufacturing, testability and reparability.
Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
Accountable for resolving complex problems and using good judgment where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Regularly interact with senior leaders on matters concerning functional areas or customers.
Identifies, initiates and facilitates continuous improvements, lean manufacturing activities and initiatives, such as 6S, visual management, kaizen.
Participates as subject matter expert in audits (ex: FDA).
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
10+ years manufacturing/operations experience, including 3+ years of leading leaders.
In-depth process knowledge of related manufacturing equipment and processes, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to understand GMPs and other applicable regulatory guidelines and ability to handle audit-related activities.
Proven track record of meeting budgets, schedules and performance requirements and holding other accountable to the same.
Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin Drugs.

The RFP Technical Response Specialist is a technical professional position within the Enterprise Technical & Innovation division. This position will be the technical and security lead responding to RFPs and Security Questionnaires across Baxter's product portfolio. * Analyzes and understand the requirements of Request for Pricing (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and Security Questionnaires and plan and craft responses that adequately meet and address these requirements

* Analyzes data to ensure the relevancy of past performance materials to current requirements
* Coordinate all information in the format requested in RFP and according to Company standards
* Edits and proofreads proposals and other related materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, and consistency with company guidelines and standards
* Collaborates with Corporate Leadership to develop proposal strategy, identify potential areas of improvement, solutions, and themes that support a winning strategy
* Responsible for end-to-end project management. Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval

Manage and coordinate routine activities and projects for the facility's documentation control team, and the plant change control and supplier notice of change programs. Maintains appropriate quality metrics for trend analysis and reporting to clients and internal management. What you will be doing:
Manages facility product/process change control system execution. Change control process owner and TrackWise change control system administrator / subject matter expert. Provide training to plant resources on change control.
Serves as plant representative and coordinates receipt, evaluation, and response to all Supplier Notice of Change surveys. Supports or leads associated change implementation projects.
Manages facility documentation control system. Team lead for documentation control team. System administrator of the TcU document system. Facilitates the global policies and procedures gap analysis process. Manages the document change process for plant SOP, procedures, routers, and forms.
Understands and assures conformance to regulations, and global policies and procedures with respect to change control, supplier notice of change, and documentation control. Conducts gap analyses, implements quality system policies and procedures, and manages compliance in areas of responsibility as plant subject matter expert.
Manages documentation and data requests from Pharma clients, and corporate product development and other support functions. Maintains appropriate quality metrics for trend analysis and reporting to clients, and facility and corporate management. Analyzes data, develops reports, and presents during Management Reviews.
Routinely interacts with other corporate groups and external Pharma clients from around the world. Interfaces with inspectors/auditors during regulatory inspections, Pharma client audits, corporate audits, and internal audits.
Supports continuous improvement and CAPA in area of responsibility. Identifies, manages, and where appropriate, leads multiple process/product improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, efficiency and cost improvements.
Supports facility audit ready status efforts for assigned areas and assists other areas within the facility achieve compliance with regulatory and corporate quality system requirements.
Supports the operation of the external audit control room operation during regulatory inspections, Baxter corporate audits, and pharma-partner compliance audits.
Assists in training staff in area of responsibility and assures training requirements are met and records are up to date.
Assists and writes change control assessments and have the ability to approve other change controls.
Manage activities of self and direct reports in achieving defined safety, quality, and production goals.
Assists department in performance of internal compliance audits, collection and analysis of management review metrics, data review, complaint reports, quality escalations, and publishing of annual product reviews
What do you bring:

**_What Nuclear Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health_**
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines; may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy. **_Shift/Schedule_**
+ 40 hours weekly
+ Overnight Shift
+ Monday - Friday 12:30am - 9:00am
+ Every 8th Saturday 2:00am - 10:00am
+ Must be flexible to work other hours and days as needed
**_Responsibilities_**
Under the immediate direction of a qualified licensed Staff Pharmacist, you will be trained to draw, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with the regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. Many of your duties will include:
+ Prepare prescriptions by typing labels and obtain Staff Pharmacist approval
+ Draw doses into either a syringe or vial
+ Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Federal, State, Company and manufacturer's guidelines.
+ Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals according to the Department of Transportation and Company guidelines
+ Maintain computer inventory and records to ensure proper utilization of materials and accounting for Rx drugs
+ Assist and/or perform in the labeling of blood cell products
+ Perform general laboratory and facility clean up
+ May perform clerical and administrative services including maintenance of daily records, preparation of receipts, report preparation, and maintenance of billing records
+ Make deliveries to accounts with company vehicles as needed
+ Speak with customers and address questions and/or concerns via telephone
+ Works under close supervision. All work is reviewed for accuracy. Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
**_Qualifications_**
+ High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy, licensure as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
+ Certification may be required
+ Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Manual dexterity required for occasional reach, lifting, and holding of small objects
+ Demonstrated manual dexterity to dispense doses

What Operations Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and maintaining an operational readiness of the AutoStore (AS) and SLAM at our fully automated locations.
Inventory and account for repair parts for the AS and SLAM
Ordering repair parts for the AS and SLAM as they are consumed.
Protecting and improving the value of Cardinal's assets and ensuring that ASRS and all supply line distribution equipment and systems including PSI, continue to perform their intended functions.
Implementing and managing the reliability-based maintenance function. This position also executes equipment inspection and monitoring programs; defines and implements maintenance best practices to improve overall mechanical equipment uptime; and continuously evaluates current maintenance, operations and reliability methods and implements changes to enhance effectiveness at increasing value-maximizing performance.
Monitoring operation and maintains ASRS equipment; robots, conveyors, and other mechanical and electrical equipment; reviewing logs as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions on an as need/requested basis.
Performing preventive maintenance tasks when required per manufacturing standard and frequencies, utilizing a CMMS.
Overseeing repairs and PMs of ASRS equipment and implements frequency of repair and/or PM per manufactures recommendations, standards, and warranty compliance.
Ensuring the availability of an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the ASRS and all associated automation, including PSI.
Overseeing the activities of contractors working, operational demonstrations, or training sessions within the ASRS distribution work and the SLAM line.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience working with commercial operating systems and general maintenance procedures, preferred
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
2+ years of work order management preferred
Experience with electrical and electronic principles and industrial electronics
Able to complete training to become a PSI SLAM Line and Swisslog- Supper User and become proficient with: Ability to manually move robots and bins throughout system, Rescue robots from grid, Access, and ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues using Autostore portal
Make repairs and adjustments to system (robots, ports, etc.) using Autostore portal
Ability to open tickets with PSI and Swisslog global helpdesk and help troubleshoot issues
Experience with Java, Microsoft, and C++ preferred
High familiarity with Autostore Console (ASC) preferred

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health care professionals, and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. The MSL is considered a scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products per Therapeutic Area (TA) alignment. The MSL is responsible for staying abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends in their therapeutic areas of interest. The MSL is responsible for building external relationships with identified OLs and health care providers (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D., biocoordinators) and developing and managing a geographical territory. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $64,000 - $88,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
