Essential Duties and Responsibilities Compounds IVs accurately. Performs all safety checks (Appropriate labeling, visually inspect) when compounding IVs. Re-stocks IV Room carts appropriately. Maintains IV room in a clean, organized manner and ensures supplies are restocked and ordered as needed. Fills automated dispensing cabinets correctly by performing all safety checks (barcode scans and visual inspection) during restock process, clears return bins on a daily basis, and fills out restock reports with 99.8% accuracy. Follows and documents all cleaning procedures for the Ante and Clean Rooms on a daily basis. Completes the monthly clean before the last day of each month. Maintains inventory by placing daily orders, checking in the orders and managing the invoices. Reviews invoices for any back-ordered medications or supplies and assists the pharmacist in managing the back-order list. Completes all annual mandatory education required by facility. Education Graduate of high school or equivalent required. Work Experience One year Sterile Compounding required. Chemotherapy Compounding preferred. Certification/License Will be required to register or apply for Pharmacy registration after interview prior to start date. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required. Mental/Physical Requirements Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time on variable operations. Physical requirements of standing, walking, sitting, and lifting (35 lbs.) will be necessary Working Conditions Standard working conditions with considerable standing.
