About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Cedar Park, Texas office.This position will manage and design water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure projects, develop business, and serve clients. What your day-to-day will look like
Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules to assure an economical timely delivery of projects.
Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project engineering solutions.
Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team.
Lead single and multi-disciplined projects providing technical guidance and mentoring of project team members.
Design and ensure all technical aspects of the project, including the design, specifications, and reports, follow Baxter & Woodman Company quality objective as well as all local and state criteria.
Prepare or oversee preparation of permit applications, coordinate responses to agency review comments, and secure final approvals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage construction administrative activities, including preparation of bid packages, contract awards, reviewing and responding to RFIs, pay applications and change orders, attending project meetings and site observations to ensure project compliance and quality.
Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and to plan and coordinate work.
Assist Marketing in preparation of proposals: project plan and approach, staff assignments, fee development risk assessment.
Monitor project performance (client satisfaction, project schedule, project budget, billings, QA/QC).
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or can acquire registration through reciprocity.

Operational knowledge of Texas and Austin area government agencies preferred.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent.
The salary range for this position is $24 - $35 per hour.
As a CEI Inspector, work is primarily routine and standardized inspection work which may include manual or electronic calculations and computations. You will perform independent inspection and documentation of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Guidance to accomplish assignments is provided by higher level Inspectors, Project Engineers or Resident Engineers.
What you'll be doing:
Making and checking engineering computations
Documenting/Inspecting construction work
Materials testing in the field
Inspection of truck load tickets for aggregate, asphalt, or concrete
Writing daily inspection reports, performing verification testing, and documenting test results and observations
Performing SWPPP inspections
Assisting in all types of record keeping and field measurements, as needed
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer and/or Construction Engineering and Inspection Manager
What you need to have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, any prior experience in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection is preferred
Some IDOT experience is a plus
IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification is highly desired
Must have a valid driver's license and immediate ability to work in the United States
Must be able to work nights and weekends as required
Must apply safety philosophy and program to all operations

As a BMS/Control Systems Design Engineer you will be joining a fun, growing, team of other Electrical and Control System Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. Your primary role will be designing instrumentation and control systems for Data Centers. Job Description
As an Instrumentation and Controls Project Engineer you will be joining a growing team of other Electrical and Control System Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. This position will be designing instrumentation and control systems for Data Centers. Projects range from high level conceptual designs, detailed site designs and retrofits, factory witness testing of equipment, and construction administration and verification. This role will communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify Data Center Building Management Systems are designed and constructed properly. You will be responsible for managing your tasks including the Building Management System (BMS) design, specifications, and drawings. This position may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Additional duties will include:
Selection and specification of process instrumentation.
Selection and specification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
Selection and specification of networking components and media including copper, fiber, and wireless hardware.
Development of control system (BMS) sequences of operations.
Submittal review and field inspections.

You will serve as an electrical engineer on projects, design calculations, write technical reports, and prepare documents. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $130,000, depending upon experience.
What you'll be doing:
Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and implementation of natural gas infrastructure projects
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans
Manage permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction procedures
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
Interface with stakeholders including municipalities, landowners, and regulatory bodies
Support emergency response and on-call supervision as needed
Assist in capital and operational budget planning
Manage vendor relationships
Mentor junior staff and contribute to training programs
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering)
10+ years of experience in natural gas infrastructure or civil project management
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required based on degree of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of permitting, pipeline design, and construction techniques

As a CEI Inspector, work is primarily routine and standardized inspection work which may include manual or electronic calculations and computations. Performing SWPPP inspections
Assisting in all types of record keeping and field measurements, as needed
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer and/or Construction Engineering and Inspection Manager

High School Diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, any prior experience in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection is preferred
Some IDOT experience is a plus
IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification is highly desired
Must have a valid driver's license and immediate ability to work in the United States
Must be able to work nights and weekends as required
