About the role, Your Impact Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Wastewater Engineer in our Wastewater Department. The Wastewater Engineer will be responsible for the design of wastewater projects, provide service to our clients, and assist with project management from our Crystal Lake, Chicago, or Naperville, IL or Milwaukee, WI office. What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job Interaction with the planning, developing, coordinating, and ensuring successful completion of projects. Interact with and understand project schedules to assure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget. Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project engineering solutions. Participate as a lead engineer on single and multi-disciplined projects. Build and develop project team members. Represent the company in client and agency meetings to enhance knowledge exchange within the company and to develop client relationships. Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team. Provide technical guidance and mentoring of project team members. Work with Department Managers to develop department standards. Education/Certification Requirements B.S. in Civil Engineering, environmental emphasis. Registered professional engineering license, reciprocity through NCEES to multiple states preferred.
