What your day-to-day will look like
Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules to assure an economical timely delivery of projects.
Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project engineering solutions.
Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team.
Lead single and multi-disciplined projects providing technical guidance and mentoring of project team members.
Design and ensure all technical aspects of the project, including the design, specifications, and reports, follow Baxter & Woodman Company quality objective as well as all local and state criteria.
Prepare or oversee preparation of permit applications, coordinate responses to agency review comments, and secure final approvals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage construction administrative activities, including preparation of bid packages, contract awards, reviewing and responding to RFIs, pay applications and change orders, attending project meetings and site observations to ensure project compliance and quality.
Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and to plan and coordinate work.
Assist Marketing in preparation of proposals: project plan and approach, staff assignments, fee development risk assessment.
Monitor project performance (client satisfaction, project schedule, project budget, billings, QA/QC).
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or can acquire registration through reciprocity.

5+ years of experience related to water and/or wastewater facility and infrastructure design.
Operational knowledge of Texas and Austin area government agencies preferred.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
Valid Texas Driver s License.
Compensation The pay range for this role is $100,000-$140,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

Job Description
As a Field Geologist, you will independently oversee subsurface exploration including drilling operations, soil/rock sampling, identification, field logging, geophysical testing, pile load testing, and geotechnical materials testing on a variety of projects primarily centered around renewable energy (wind and solar) and data centers. You will also prepare detailed field notes, logs, and reports summarizing findings and interpretations, and collaborate with engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
You will travel to various job sites both in-state and across the country and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Must be willing to travel 75% out of the year or more.

Thorough reviews of development proposals help ensure our built environment is one we can be proud of while responding quickly to submittals and inquiries. **Job Description**
Join Olsson's Data Center Design team as a **Senior Fire Protection Engineer** , where you'll take the lead on complex, mission-critical projects, including hyperscale data centers and secure facilities. This is a highly visible role within a multidisciplinary team known for delivering innovative, high-performance building systems.
You'll provide technical leadership on fire protection strategies that safeguard infrastructure, protect assets, and meet the most rigorous code and client requirements. You'll collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and security professionals across sectors such as data centers, healthcare, higher education, commercial, industrial and federal facilities.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the design and execution of fire protection systems for secure and mission-critical facilities
+ Develop and review fire suppression, alarm, and life safety system designs to meet client and code requirements (NFPA, IBC, IFC, UFCs, etc.)
+ Serve as the technical expert and client liaison for fire protection scopes on data center and secure facility projects
+ Coordinate across disciplines to ensure fully integrated system design
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing

Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work directly with some of the world's largest technology companies and other mission-critical clients. You will serve as a mechanical engineer on projects, design calculations, write technical reports, and prepare documents. Experience in the Data Center industry is preferred. You will also coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients.
Candidate must be located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and be willing to travel to projects occasionally.

About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a fulfilling opportunity for an entry-level engineer in our Crystal Lake, Chicago, Naperville, or Mokena, IL offices. This on-the job experience will support the firms Regulatory Services Department with the implementation of federally approved industrial pretreatment programs, assisting with the regulation of industrial users, developing pollution prevention plans, and providing support to municipal wastewater treatment plants for compliance with NPDES permits. We offer the opportunity to work directly with firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in environmental engineering and compliance.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
* Water, wastewater and stormwater program regulatory services (NPDES)
* Wastewater NPDES Permitting, including Land Application of Wastewater Biosolids
* Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) NPDES program implementation
* Sanitary sewer system Capacity Management, Operation and Maintenance (CMOM) program implementation
* Assist with industrial wastewater pretreatment program implementation requirements such as:
* Writing industrial discharge permits
* Review of industrial discharge monitoring reports
* Prepare enforcement documents
* Carry out annual industrial inventory campaigns and conduct site inspections
* USEPA pretreatment compliance inspections (PCIs)
* Preparation of Annual Pretreatment Reports
* Technically based Local Limits Evaluations
* Sewer Use and Pretreatment Ordinances
* Field data collection, sampling and site evaluation
* Study, engineering analysis and technical report writing
* Presentation of engineering analysis to senior engineers and client staff
Education Requirements
* Must have a 4-year B.S. degree in civil engineering, or related scientific field, with an emphasis in environmental engineering preferred
* Minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0

**Job Description**
We're looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our Data Center Project Management team-an industry-leading group that partners with some of the world's largest technology companies. In this role, you'll manage large, complex, and multi-disciplinary design projects, including data center developments that support global digital infrastructure.
You'll work closely with the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural and Civil design teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully-on time, within scope, and on budget. You'll coordinate with internal leaders to assign the right resources and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning through execution and closeout.

**Job Description**
As a BMS/Control Systems Design Engineer you will be joining a fun, growing, team of other Electrical and Control System Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. Your primary role will be designing instrumentation and control systems for Data Centers. Projects range from high level conceptual designs, detailed site designs and retrofits, factory witness testing of equipment, and construction administration and verification. This role will communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify Data Center Building Management Systems are designed and constructed properly. You will be responsible for managing your tasks including the Building Management System (BMS) design, specifications, and drawings. This position may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Additional duties will include:
+ Selection and specification of process instrumentation.
+ Selection and specification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
+ Selection and specification of networking components and media including copper, fiber, and wireless hardware.
+ Development of control system (BMS) sequences of operations.
+ Submittal review and field inspections.
+ Task Management

About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Transportation Engineer III in our Milwaukee, Janesville, or Waterford, WI, office. This position will primarily consist of design engineering efforts on a variety of transportation projects for State, County, and Local Agencies. This team-orientated position will include working with Baxter & Woodmans diverse disciplines and offices.
What your day-to-day will look like
* Manage/Complete engineering plans and specifications production using WisDOT Standards.
* Complete Federal Aid projects for a variety of clients.
* Lead a variety of projects and study types including roadway, underground utility, drainage, traffic, and infrastructure improvements.
* Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
* Assist with business development and client management opportunities for transportation and infrastructure projects is preferred but not required.
Education/Certification Requirements
* B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
* Licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin (or ability to acquire within 6 mos.)
