Responsibilities
Manage and grow At-bay's core broker base and GWP, making sure our brokers are getting world-class service at all times.
Propose & negotiate price, coverage, and terms for insurance policies, and actively identify account rounding opportunities
Solicit and analyze risk within At-bay's guidelines and ensure proper documentation. service existing renewals and new business portfolio
Collaborate with cyber analytics, product, marketing and other parts of At-bay to make sure brokers are getting the best At-bay has to offer
Work with technology and data teams to create tools to enhance the underwriting process
Attributes and Qualifications
Proven experience as underwriter or account executive in cyber liability, Tech, Media E&O, Miscellaneous E&O, other E&O lines or specialty commercial insurance
You possess solid knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting, and insurance industry theories and practices
Strong technology affinity, ability to work with advanced analytics software
Technical background. Strong plus if you already know what DNS, IP addresses, ports, databases, WHOIS records, and other software/computer networking concepts are.
You're an amazing team player; you make everyone else on the team better and you don't let your ego get in the way
You are a driven person who gets a deep satisfaction from getting things done, and is not afraid to cross the t's and dot the i's

Compensation
Our estimated base pay range for an Underwriter is $90,000-$115,000 and a Senior Underwriter role is $110,000-$150,000 per year. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, internal equitability, domain knowledge, experiences and skills. What You'll Do:
Prepare, examine, and fund loan documents within the Centralized Underwriting Department.
Ensure accuracy and completion of loan documents including communicating with auto dealers, manufactured housing companies, third-party vendors, and others to obtain the information necessary to complete and fund auto loan approvals, and other types of loans as appropriate.
Provide the necessary information to the underwriting staff and return loan decision information to the appropriate parties.
Disburse funds to appropriate accounts and accurately calculate funding amounts.
Make and return phone calls promptly and efficiently.
Answer questions, resolve disputes, and coordinate loan details for clients.
Follow up on unfunded loans, contacting dealer sales staff and others to resolve issues.
Must adhere to all BSA regulations and communicate funding delays to dealership and manufactured housing representatives effectively.
Verify accuracy of application information, including but not limited to income, employment, and residence.
Protect the Credit Union by monitoring applications for red flags and potential fraud, escalating applications when necessary.
Works regularly with lending personnel on an "as needed" basis.
Qualifications:
A High School diploma with at least two years of consumer loan underwriting experience is required.
The ideal candidate should have a general knowledge of financial institution products and services, office equipment, and general business procedures. Additionally, they should possess the abilities of a highly engaged, detail-oriented, and well-organized individual, along with knowledge of and experience with financial services software applications and systems.
The ability to function effectively in a high-volume area is essential, as is proficiency in oral and written communication skills and to work night and weekend hours as assigned.
Candidates must also be able to obtain an NMLS identification number.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to members, in writing through various channels.
