Not much
Company leadership is weak, doesn’t see reality and promotes a good-ol-boy culture with high level of bullying.
My favorite perk was receiving a severance check on my way out.
Extremely weak across the board, especially the GM of Varietal Solutions. He spends weekly updates talking about shoveling his driveway, but shy’s away from any customer interface or support of his sales team.
Determine sustainable points of difference and promote those to the trade. “Build it and they will come” rarely works.
I didn’t prepare. BSM came after me hard and interview was like speaking with folks with no real substantive business background.
I’m no longer w BSM, but compensation was competitive to start, but raises and bonuses were withheld at manager’s discretion.
No racial diversity in management tiers.
I knew after 2 or 3 weeks that it was a bad decision to accept the job. I played it out, had some success with very little mgmt and HQ support, and then was asked to leave after 3 years.
