BayCare Health System company history timeline
BayCare is a leading not-for-profit health care system founded since 1997 that connects individuals and families to a wide range of services at 15 hospitals and hundreds of other convenient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and central Florida regions.
The hospital opens its doors for business on Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at 6 p.m.December – BayCare Clinic is comprised of 69 physicians and 13 advanced practice practitioners total.
2001 - Winter Haven Hospital, Shands Healthcare, and the University of Florida College of Medicine implement health service partnership.
2003 - Winter Haven Hospital (527 total licensed beds) 2003 - Winter Haven Hospital completes agreement with the University of Florida College of Medicine to manage and staff our Emergency Services Department.
On March 8, 2008, BayCare Alliant Hospital opened its doors to its first patients.
St Anthony's future continues to grow as the hospital opened the new Emergency Center and Patient Care Tower in early 2012.
May – Ground is broken for a new, privately developed, 130,000-square-foot facility that will house Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic and other businesses on Kepler Drive in the I-43 Business Center on Green Bay’s far east side. It is expected to open in 2022.
November – Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic announces plans to consolidate Green Bay clinical and office operations in a new, privately developed state-of-the-art facility on Kepler Drive in 2022.
The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
