Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in acute care rehab, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams with confidence, empathy, and resilience.
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
Experience with EMR systems and data-driven decision-making.

Role Overview
As a Dosimetrist - Proton Therapy, you will be responsible for importing CT simulations and treatment data, optimizing computer-based radiation dose distributions, calculating radiation doses or delivery settings, and documenting treatment plans prescribed by radiation oncologists.
You will participate in simulation, dose computations, immobilization, and other aspects of treatment planning for patients receiving radiation therapy, assisting with the development of proton, photon, and other radiation treatment plans as needed. Key Responsibilities
Proton Dosimetrists are expected to perform at a higher level of technical and clinical expertise, including:
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement patient-specific proton treatment plans requiring complex optimizations and multiple iterations, while applying principles of range uncertainty and robustness.
Beam Path & Density Analysis: Design proton beam paths, evaluate intervening densities, and anticipate issues affecting plan quality and robustness.
Device & Immobilization Support: Assist in designing, fabricating, and verifying immobilization devices for accurate beam delivery.
Quality Assurance & Documentation: Verify all calculations, maintain accurate records in EMR, TPS, and OIS, and ensure compliance with safety and QA standards.
Technical Navigation: Manage complex technical interlocks, downtime events, and support insurance authorization through comparative planning.

Must have at least 1 year experience working as a PTA in either an outpatient facility or hospital setting.

Case Assignments
60% will be pediatric anesthesia with the rest adult anesthesia, no OB. Supervision AHPs in a 3:1 ratio with some solo cases, including surgeries in newborns.
Shifts
This is a call-taking position. It includes 2 first or general calls per month and some pediatric anesthesia calls, distributed evenly amongst the pediatric anesthesiologists in the practice.
Team Highlights
The group includes 28 anesthesiologists and more than 50 AHPs. BayCare has already approved the construction of a Children's Hospital as a free-standing facility, adjacent to the current building.
