**Primary Care / Portfolio Sales Consultant (Columbus, OH)**
PURPOSE
The Primary Care Sales Specialist - Hybrid is accountable for implementing the sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal products consistent with Bayer's compliance standards as well as all applicable legal requirements for those key targeted Health Care Providers (HCP's) and hospital systems within an assigned territory. The CSS will pull through access and drive utilization for approved CV products with appropriate patients.
The span of coverage will be within the following metropolitan areas: Columbus, Springfield, Zanesville, Lancaster, and south to Chillicothe. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The position is residence-based and the candidate must be domiciled within the territory, preferably within the Columbus area as that is the center of the territory
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Primary Care Sales Specialist - Hybrid (Territory) are to:
+ Build and develop professional relationships with (but not limited to) cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, primary care, pharmacy staff, within assigned customers;
+ Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV products. The CSC works closely with other Bayer commercial associates to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCP's;
+ Leverage expertise and knowledge of diabetes, nephrology and CVD, the marketplace, applicable competitors, industry and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage business opportunities and challenges;
+ Provide relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues (e.g. sales leadership, regional account managers) in regard to strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region;
+ Develop and implement effective customer specific territory plans;
+ Communicate insights to internal stakeholders;
+ Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential;
+ Understand fully the assigned customers' product and business needs and works to meet those needs while adhering to all of Bayer company ethics and compliance standards;
+ Anticipate potential barriers to achievement of goals and propose responsible solutions for success;
+ Has long standing relationships with key customers and an in-depth knowledge of the disease state, key drivers, influencers and prescribing patterns in their territory;
+ Effectively handle customer objections and exceed customer expectations with the value they bring to physicians;
+ Occasionally you will be called on to share your exemplary skills with others in the region in a training capacity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree;
+ Pharmaceutical sales experience;
+ Proven track record of consistent high performance;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $117,576.00 - $176,364.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). * Provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultation.

+ Must have Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as well as a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
+ Must have 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience required; previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred
+ Antipsychotic, and/or bi-polar sales experience is a plus.
+ Must have strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers. Ideal candidate emulates patient-centricity.
+ Must act with high integrity and always in accordance with the Company's Compliance policies and procedures.
+ Must have strong sense of self-motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial thirst, excellent decision-making judgment, strong teaming/collaboration and cross-functional skills.

+ Must have strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
+ Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse customer audience.
+ Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside of normal working hours.
+ Territories may require some overnight travel depending on geography.
+ Some domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training and sales meetings will also be required on a periodic basis.
