Postdoctoral Research Fellow - School of Dentistry - Myers Lab
We are seeking a highly motivated and exceptional Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Myers Laboratory at UTHealth Houston. This full-time position is funded by the NIH and is available immediately. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research regarding the toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of areca nut alkaloids. This will include traditional drug metabolism and drug interaction experimentation, extensive work in rodent models, and assessment of toxicity in novel cell culture models.
The ideal candidate will be required to perform experimental work, carry out experimental data analysis, oversee/direct projects, and, where needed, guide and assist other researchers in the laboratory. The candidate will also be expected to rapidly develop independence in research activities and drive the preparation and publication of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to actively contribute to the generation of innovative research ideas and paths to support future grant applications.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Nurturing Resilience Initiative/TCHATT
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth Houston) is seeking a psychology post-doctoral fellow interested in clinical and research training in child and adolescent psychology. Clinical and research training will focus on youth receiving school-based tele-mental health services and children/families who are participating in community-based social-emotional skills groups and evidence-based parenting programs.
Applicants must have a PhD in psychology. This is a hybrid position in which postdoctoral fellows will deliver services via telemedicine and in-person at community sites in Harris and Fort Bend Counties.
Trainees will choose between one of two tracks within the postdoctoral fellowship, with one track focusing on school-aged youth and the other track focusing on early childhood and parenting. The school-age track includes the delivery of brief social emotional groups at Boys and Girls Club and YMCA locations. The second track includes a focus on early childhood with postdoctoral fellows delivering relational-focused parenting classes to caregivers of children under 6 years old. Both tracks include research and training opportunities and can be customized to individual professional goals.
General educational activities include weekly didactic activities, journal clubs, writing clubs, meetings with senior researchers, workshops on grant writing, and individualized career development plans. Scholarly activities are integrated into the fellowship training.

The division of neurocritical care at the department of neurosurgery, McGovern Medical School is seeking a Research Associate to work on projects focused on studying the genetic factors that affect the clinical outcomes after traumatic brain injury, and immunologic responses and brain-gut axis dysregulations after TBI.
The successful candidate will work with next generation sequencing (whole genome sequencing, exome sequencing, RNA-seq, microbiome analysis). The research associate will receive training in grant application preparation. The selected candidate will serve as Director of the Center for Craniofacial Research (CCR), a university-wide research center that integrates basic, translational, and clinical research in oral and craniofacial biology with members in both the School of Dentistry and the School of Medicine, primarily within the Department of Pediatrics.
The Center for Craniofacial Research (CCR) is one of the School's flagship research units, designed to foster collaborative research in craniofacial and oral health sciences. The School of Dentistry, currently ranked number eight in research funding among U.S. dental schools by the NIDCR, is one of seven schools in UTHealth Houston, which is located in the Texas Medical Center (TMC), the world's largest medical complex. The CCR and UTHealth Houston provide access to state-of-the-art research facilities, including imaging, genomics, proteomics, histopathology cores, and pre-clinical models.
We seek an exceptional investigator with a record of leadership, innovation, and externally funded research in craniofacial and/or oral sciences. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong history of interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, and program development, and will be expected to advance both the CCR and the School of Dentistry's strategic research priorities.

Position Key Accountabilities:
As Director of the CCR, the appointee will provide:
* Research and Scientific Leadership

* Promote integration of CCR research with NIH/NIDCR initiatives and cross-School collaborations.

* With the Associate Dean for Research, manage CCR resources, core facilities, and collaborative initiatives.
