Under the direction of the radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, the MR Technologist is responsible for the performance of high-quality diagnostic images utilizing proper technique and established protocols. This person utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for accurate diagnosis. This position demonstrates competencies in identification of pathology, MR physics, patient positioning, MR safety, 3-D reconstruction, contrast injections, IV access, and new protocols. This position is responsible for orienting new staff, troubleshooting equipment, patient and public safety, maintaining accurate records, assisting in student education, proper use and care of the equipment, working effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complies with infection prevention procedures, and performs other duties as required. This position must meet the continuing educational requirements established by the ACR. MR registry is required within 2 years of employment within this modality. Under the direction of the Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, the mammography technologist performs imaging to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Performs quality EKG's. EKG's in a timely manner, which are clear and easily interpreted.
Maintains equipment and cleans as necessary. Reports any equipment issues to Asst. Manager or Supervisor as well as appropriate departments. Works
with Clinical Engineering, I.S., or secretary regarding any EKG cart, IECG EKG system, or Holter system concerns.
Applying holters, assisting in department duties or GXT lab as needed.
Answers phone promptly and communicating with all customers appropriately. Seeks resolution to requests, example: sending test results to office.
