Scope Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use various modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability. Determines patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required Basic Life Support (BLS) is required One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is preferred Pediatric Physical Therapy experience preferred Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
