Practices in any setting in which patients require complex monitoring and therapies, high intensity medical intervention, or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care. Participates in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a bi-annual basis to assure quality care and per ORC requirements. This review is completed via the Focused Professional Performance Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Performance Evaluation (OPPE) for Advanced Practice Providers as part of Joint Commission requirements. The position includes direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will work closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons and other members of the trauma service to evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room, to provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues, and to manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients. Follow established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely assessment. evaluation and treatment of patients from six (6) months to the geriatric population. Diagnostics- Ability to accurately interpret electrocardiogram and lab tests results. Provide accurate and timely diagnosis and care management to patients with chronic illnesses, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and asthma. Promote disease prevention by using effective risk assessment, coaching and counseling skills. As appropriate, provide timely and accurate completion of Annual Medicare Wellness physicals in accordance with Beebe Medical Group policy and Medicare guidelines. Ability to appropriately handle unexpected emergent medical situations. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with patients, co-workers and healthcare providers. Possess an energetic, compassionate and efficient work ethic with strong organizational skills and effective customer service skills. Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to working at other Primary Care locations within Beebe Medical Group as necessary. Qualifications: Prefer previous experience in Family Medicine, Wellness Center, or Internal Medicine.
