    What We're Looking For Baylor University is seeking the Police Officer position to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Department of Public Safety and reporting to one of the Patrol Lieutenants. This position will work closely with the other members of the Baylor PD staff, Baylor faculty and staff, students, guests of Baylor, and external first responders. The position enforces federal and state law and Baylor University policies while patrolling campus. The successful candidate will have the ability to relate to all members of the Baylor community, a desire to help others, the ability to demonstrate good judgment under pressure, and demonstrate integrity in all job duties. All applicants shall possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate Degree from an accredited Junior College or 60 college hours from an accredited College or University. Additionally, applicants must be a minimum of 22 years of age at the time of their commissioning with the Baylor University Police Department, and possess a current Texas Driver's license or be eligible to obtain a Texas Driver's license. All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Applicants who have had more than 2 moving citations in the past two years will not be considered If the applicant's driver's license has ever been suspended, that will be an immediate dis-qualifier. Applicants must have active peace officer certification with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. This position will be joining 3 PhD-level physicists and 5 MS-level physicists covering 4 clinics in Central Texas: Temple, Killeen, Waco, and College Station. This position will be a clinical position working full time hybrid remote/on-site at the Temple and Killeen clinics but will be expected to cover other clinics in central Texas if needed. Among the four clinics, there is 5 Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, 2 Varian Varisource, 1 Elekta Flexitron and 5 CT simulators. The successful candidate will be responsible for physics support in the clinic and work with other members of the radiation oncology team to provide highest level of clinical service.
