RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health, Custodian/Housekeepers perform a variety of Environmental Services duties to promote cleaning and disinfection of all areas of the hospital. Incumbent is responsible for daily cleaning room turnover, and terminal cleaning of specialty areas including but not limited to the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, LDRP, and office spaces. Removes solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linens, and recyclables. Dusting in high and low areas, applies finish/polish to wood and steel surfaces, cleans floors/baseboards, corners, and edges.
