Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Springfield, MA, for a Radiation Therapist. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments to patients, ensuring the highest level of care and safety. Daily responsibilities include operating specialized equipment, positioning patients accurately, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and maintaining comprehensive treatment records. Qualifications
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

**Summary Description:**
The System Physical Security Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning, implementation, and oversight of physical security operations across Baystate Health's facilities, including Baystate Medical Center, community hospitals, outpatient clinics, and administrative sites. This position ensures a consistent and proactive security presence that supports the safety of patients, staff, and visitors while aligning with Baystate Health's mission, values, and regulatory obligations.
Reporting to the Director, System Security and Public Safety, the Coordinator will lead system-wide efforts in physical security infrastructure, access control, surveillance technology, and emergency readiness, while collaborating with local security leaders and cross-functional teams to conduct security vulnerability assessments and training in order to maintain a safe healing environment.
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of physical security and security technology operations across the system. Current security systems include the Security Management Systems (SMS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Infant Protection Systems (IPS), Incident Records Management System (IRMS), Weapons Detection Systems (WDS), Visitor/Guest Management Systems and other security-related technologies and applications.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Standardize physical security infrastructure and operations across all Baystate Health campuses and affiliate facilities.
- Develops Baystate Health security design guidelines for all new construction and renovation projects. Serve on planning, design, and construction committees.
- Manage all security systems in coordination with appropriate site leadership and command center staff.
- Conduct security vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for facilities, departments, and special events
- Oversee physical security infrastructure projects, including new construction and renovation site security planning and security vulnerability assessments.
- Participate in facility commissioning / systems commissioning to ensure security designs and technical equipment verifying that all physical security systems and equipment are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to best practices or manufacturer standards.
- Ensures that a set of security systems "as built" documents are maintained for each site. Updates and utilizes the security system as built plans to maintain current security posture for each site and departmental unit.
- Works closely with Information Technology team members to develop and sustain a defined network risk management strategy for electronic and physical security.
- Develop, implement, and update physical security policies and procedures in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
- Ensure security operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor incident reports and investigate security events, threats, or breaches, working with internal investigations and law enforcement when appropriate.
- Coordinate with emergency management team members on drills, response protocols, and disaster planning.
- Develops physical and electronic security utilization training programs in conjunction with the Public Safety Education Coordinator. (e.g. Public Safety Operations Center, ID Card production and weapon screening).
- Train and evaluate security staff in security technology and physical security procedures.
- Assist in managing contracts and performance of third-party security providers where applicable.
- May participate in Environment of Care, Safety, Emergency Management or other committees.
- Prepare regular reports on key security metrics, incidents, and performance indicators for leadership.
- Maintains proficiency with forensic analysis techniques relating to all security systems. Conducts forensic analysis for officers and investigators and others when necessary to assist in criminal and civil investigations.
**Required Experience:**
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, with at least 3 years in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare-specific security risks, compliance standards, and emergency protocols.
- Experience managing security systems and incident reporting (IRMS) platforms.
**Required Education:**
Bachelor's Degree- in criminal justice, security management, or related field
**Certifications:**
- Required: Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Baystate Health system

Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Utility Aides and/or Manager of Production/Executive Chef the Utility Aide performs a variety of tasks related to the support of the operations of a professional kitchen. Summary Description:
The Public Safety Supervisor provides daily leadership and direction for security operations at an assigned Baystate Health facility or campus. The role helps provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by overseeing security personnel, coordinating incident response, and enforcing policies and procedures consistent with Baystate Health's mission, values, and regulatory requirements. This position serves as the on-site leader for all Public Safety functions, including patrol operations, access control, emergency response, workplace violence prevention, and incident reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of Public Safety Officers and Telecommunicators on assigned shifts.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and equitable scheduling to maintain continuous coverage across all posts and patrol zones.
• Provide daily briefings and ensure consistent communication of policies, updates, and priorities.
• Conduct performance observations, coaching, and evaluations for assigned staff.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents, providing leadership and coordination during critical events.
• Review incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy; submit findings and recommendations to the Public Safety Manager and Investigator when appropriate. Develops daily incident/activity logs for sharing with site leadership and security staff.
• Reviews Public Safety Officer incident reports, conducts more detailed investigations, and assists the Public Safety Investigator or Manager in major investigations.
• Conducts Daily Management huddles
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff regarding de-escalation, customer service, and enforcement of security procedures.
• Monitor security systems (access control, cameras, alarms) and ensure operational readiness.
• Conduct regular inspections of security posts, equipment, and sensitive areas (e.g., Pharmacy, ED, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, and infrastructure areas).
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and law enforcement when addressing high-risk or disruptive behavior situations. Follows up on patient and employee risk assessments (domestic violence, patient victims of violence, patient prisoners, and patients identified at risk for committing violence.
• Assist in compliance with Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements related to security and the Physical Environment. Participate in emergency preparedness drills and support the hospital's incident command structure during activations.
• Support the Public Safety Education Coordinator in delivering ongoing training, including defensive tactics, crisis management, and customer service skills.
• Leads employee engagement process for assigned staff.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism within the department.

Summary:
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs a wide variety of duties involving patient management, therapeutic interaction, and physical care of patients admitted to the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. The incumbent is expected to adhere to System and department compliance policies and all applicable laws and regulations. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Job Responsibilities:
1) Participates in a Multidisciplinary Team approach to patient care. Is familiar with admission and progress notes of team members to develop a better understanding of patients. Collaborates with the team in evaluating patients, planning therapy, and developing treatment goals. Reports observations of patients' status to the team and provides input in the preparation and updating of the treatment plans. Assists team members in providing care to patients and follows through with team decisions. Welcomes new staff and assists in orienting them to the department.
2) Provides a safe environment. Conducts daily sharps checks on patients upon arrival and when indicated by the Team. Documents the ongoing assessment of patients by completing monitoring and rounds sheets. Documents restraints and seclusions per policies. Documents all necessary information in EMR as dictated by policy and procedure.
4) Provides a therapeutic milieu. Assesses patient mental status social and symptomatic behavior and progress towards identified goals daily. Counsels patients with empathy and respect to assist them to formulate treatment goals. Refers patients' physical problems to RN for assessment and intervention. Collaborates with the team to initiate and implement a plan of care to meet the ADL needs of patients who are unable to perform these tasks themselves. Identifies patient knowledge deficits and implements appropriate teaching in collaboration with the team.

Summary:
The Director, Central Staffing Office, is a key leadership role responsible at Baystate Health, overseeing the efficient and effective allocation of nursing staff resources across Baystate Health. The Director leads a team of 6-8 Direct reports within the Central Staffing Office (CSO) operations team, which acts as the hub for managing staff assignments, just in time staffing needs allocation and supplemental workforce needs, adapting to fluctuations in patient census and acuity.
Develop, implement, and evaluate centralized staffing models and strategies to optimize nursing resource utilization across all Baystate Health facilities and units, considering patient acuity, census fluctuations, and staff competency.

The Nutrition Assistant facilitates patient meal selections, using Hand Held Technology with a special emphasis on customer service. The Nutrition Assistant provides guidance to patients and family members to select foods that are in compliance with Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) orders. Responsible for follow up with patients where we have not met their expectations, and reporting back to FS Operations Manager as to what the desired outcome will be.
10) Provide accurate and complete information for the production area, therefore streamlining the process of assembling patient trays in an accurate method . Major emphasis on keeping waste to a low level is required, which involves communication regarding MHU discharges being removed prior to assembly.
11) Work with nursing to break down the barriers of communication, opening doors between areas and ensuring proper communication is being used for all aspects of patient care.
12) Uses status icons on C-Bord Program, especially the refused tray button on C-Bord. Provides trays for patients, only honoring diet changes when a physician or nurse has physically changed the patients diet in C-Board.
13) Inserts tray tickets using proper methods, following the designated standards as they are set , with no variations.
14) Follows the pre-determined ticket set up, having the hot items, garnish, etc. at the top of the tray ticket , then places the cold items in the pre determined areas to allow for a more streamlined assembly of trays.
15) Distributes tube feedings on the floors at the designated times to ensure patient receives and utilizes the product.
16) Understands and uses the new hand held technology for inputting patient meals through the C-Bord system, follows pre-determined scripting for each interaction, and checking allergies.
17) When assigned attends nursing practice meetings on all the floors, interacts with nursing to develop or redesign a process fails through communication and collaboration.
18) Re-institute test tray program between food service employees as well as nursing, explain the process, document the results for monthly reporting.
19) Follow up with patients using the patient satisfaction survey tool, inquiring if we have met their expectations of an excellent experience. Seek feedback on how to improve the overall food service experience.
20) Demonstrates and models principals of service excellence in support of the patient experience and SPIRIT program.
