With more than three decades of experience in the ICT sector, Julian has a profound understanding of customer needs, and is a high-energy, results-oriented leader with an entrepreneurial attitude. He brings to the role his ability to lead and coach business development teams across the African continent, an excellent general knowledge of business, taking strategy from mere planned activities to implementation.

Julian joined Business Connexion in 2005 as a Divisional Executive in Sales and Marketing and has since held several positions in different sections of the business, including Chief Revenue Officer: Mid-Market and Managing Executive: International. Before joining BCX, he held several executive management positions, including Divisional Executive at Bidvest and Managing Director of ASI South Africa.

Lucas is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and joined Telkom in August 2015 as the CFO of Openserve before being appointed as COO in April 2016. Openserve is responsible for the build, operate maintain and wholesale of the telecom infrastructure made up of copper, fibre, satellite, undersea cables, microwaves as well as executing the build for Telkom Mobile.

Lucas moved to the Group CEO office in February 2020 as a Group Executive: GCEO Office support and in November 2020 was appointed as a CFO for BCX.

He has previously worked for Deloitte, Mettle, Barclays Bank, Royal Bafokeng Holdings and MOGS. He also served on various boards in the mining, industrial, IT, Oil & Gas, Property and Services sectors and has also chaired some of the boards and committees and served on various board subcommittees.

Lucas studied BCom (Accounting) at the University of Western Cape and did his post-graduate qualifications in Accounting at the University of Cape Town and also holds Leading Executive Program from UCT GSB.

With more than 25 years of experience in marketing, Mandisa is an empowering leader who believes in the importance of working within a collaborative environment, surrounding herself with talented people. She expects delivery and accountability but is never afraid of getting her hands dirty. Mandisa’s key interests lie in brand strategy, content marketing and driving sales through opportunity-centric and personalised marketing, which she has been working towards for BCX, since taking on her current role in August 2018.

Before joining BCX, Mandisa was General Manager of Enterprise Marketing at MTN Business, had served as Marketing and Communications Director of Accenture South Africa, and held positions at Dimension Data and Nokia, both in South Africa and in Helsinki, Finland.

Mandisa holds a Master of Business Administration from the Warwick Business School.
