I am the Chief Executive Officer of BDO USA, LLP, and Chair of the Global Board of Directors of BDO International, Ltd., a leading global accounting and advisory organization.

An American transplant, I had early aspirations of becoming a South African Air Force pilot. When those plans were derailed by my first pair of eyeglasses, I chased my next passion-helping businesses, and the people behind them, thrive everyday-and embarked on a lifelong career in professional services. The last and best two decades have been with BDO. I was elected CEO in 2012.

I started my career providing accounting services for nonprofit organizations. To this day, I believe that success in business is defined first and foremost by purpose. We have clients in every industry who are changing the world, in small, large, and significant ways. Our purpose is to help them achieve their business and financial goals through exceptional client service.

We are successful in our purpose because of our people and our culture. We believe client engagements should be relationship-driven, matching our people and resources to the complex and individual needs of every client. Our core values define who we are and where we’re going.

The universe of professional services has changed dramatically from the world I first entered in the early 1990s. As the pace of technological change accelerates, digital is permanently stitched into the fabric of the global economy and is changing the way we all do business. Herman Williams serves as Chief Clinical Officer for RCCH and in that role oversees all quality, safety, and clinical activities for the company. Herman has a broad understanding of public health and policy issues, and vast experience working with physicians and clinicians across a healthcare system having previously served as corporate vice president for medical affairs at Vanguard, which was acquired by Tenet Healthcare. Before that, Herman spent five years at the company’s Baptist Health System in San Antonio. Dr. Williams graduated with honors and earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Herman also attended the prestigious Orthopedic Surgery Trauma Program at University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. Herman has a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Washington University Foster School of Business in Seattle, Washington. Herman earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
