Beach attendant job description

Drives guests to and from beach on golfcart.

Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas (i.e. lobby, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, etc.) to meet established cleanliness and quality standards.

Cleans bathrooms (sinks, urinals, etc.), dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors, empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash, removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures, and cleans ashtrays.

Delivers items to room/suite attendants upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms/suites as needed.

Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort, Golf & Marina is ideally situated in Stuart, Florida, on a marina approximately one mile from the beach. Our upgraded Sandpiper Tower suites feature a pristine beachfront location, separate from the main hotel grounds. Looking for a Pool/Beach Attendant with high energy to assist guests with poolside activities and beach chair and umbrella set up.
Job Title: Pool/Beach Attendant

Availability: All Shifts including weekends and holidays

Summary of Job Duties:

+ Create and organize social and sports activities, crafts, and other activities for children/families

+ Welcome guests to the pool or beach and consistently offer professional, friendly, engaging service

+ Assist guests with lounge chairs, umbrellas, beds, and/or cabanas around pool or beach

+ Encourage guests to participate in appropriate activities (i.e. volleyball, water activities, swimming, etc.)

+ Set up and breakdown beach chairs and umbrellas or pool equipment daily

+ Properly store equipment when not in use

+ Fold towels in morning and set up towel/water station

+ Responsible for general cleanliness and upkeep of the pool or beach area

We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our housekeeping team as a House Attendant. + Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well

+ Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness

+ Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen.

+ Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry.

+ Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests.

+ Perform duties of room attendant when necessary.

+ Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.

+ Help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when super cleaning / spring cleaning of rooms.

+ Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.

+ Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.

+ Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other team members.

What are we looking for?

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Housekeeping experience desirable

+ Neat, pleasant personality

+ Time management skills

+ Ability to work on feet for an extended period

+ Ability to communicate effectively

+ Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.

+ Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.
