(May need to adjust your schedule to attend training). What will you do? * Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services using established guidelines and quality control procedures. * Provide tow and recovery services using established guidelines and quality control procedures (Tow Truck Operator position). * Communicate with members effectively to keep them informed and to ensure their safety. * Make sound decisions regarding the safe service of vehicles and to accommodate member needs. * Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology, process payments, handle cash, and complete reports as required. * Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections, ensuring that all are in safe operating condition and that all requirements are met. Ensure that the fleet vehicle and all equipment are adequately secured at all times, including when the vehicle is not in use. * Support AAA as needed by participating in special events (parades, television, radio, and social media) promoting the brand. Maine Oxy is currently looking to fill a Cylinder Filler position. This is a full-time year-round position with a great opportunity to grow if you are interested in the industry. This is a Monday-Friday 7 AM-4 PM shift with opportunities for voluntary overtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Maine Oxy, and distributor standards. Prepares pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling: Attaches to manifold, evacuates cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants. Fills cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards. Manually sets calibrations to analyze selected cylinders for purity, dew point, and other required qualities. Conducts a variety of Safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves. Accurately labels cylinders. Completes daily fill sheets for every type of gas, as required by DOT, FDA, and Maine Oxy. Learns the hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Unload/load trucks. Compiles with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases. Will be trained in regards to 49CFR173.34 and CGA pamphlets C-5, C-6, C-6.1, C-6.2, C-6.3, C-13, S-1.1 Must demonstrate the capability of external visual inspection according to CGA pamphlet C-6. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Complies with company and DOT guidelines and procedures relating to loading methods, loading for safety, availability of cylinders, and weight distribution. Ability to safely operate a forklift (as required) (Will be trained) Must comply with safety/site work rules and regulations and housekeeping standards. Must demonstrate the capability of the testing equipment to perform the required tests to the degree of accuracy required by the regulations. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
