    Job Description StreetWork Project is the oldest street outreach program for homeless and street-involved youth in New York City. The program has grown from its beginnings in 1984 as a storefront project to encompass both outreach and comprehensive harm reduction services. Streetwork's programs are innovative outreach-counseling programs for homeless youth, which use a harm reduction, client centered, and trauma informed approach. Services include counseling, HIV prevention, case management, drop-in, daily living services, meals, groups, legal services, syringe exchange and overdose prevention services, mental health, and medical. The core service is long-term, one-on-one counseling, which is offered in a non-judgmental and holistic manner utilizing a harm reduction approach that focuses on building trust, fostering self-esteem, exploring options and choices, and empowering youth to change their high-risk behaviors. The Streetwork Overnight is a 24-bed facility for homeless youth ages 16-21. Services include: counseling, case management, meals, laundry, showers, support groups, and access to medical and psychiatric care. Responsibilities: Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients. Coach and guide staff in their client practice that reflects these approaches. Participate in the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new staff. Provide in-house individual and group psychotherapy, including crisis intervention and emergency assessments; Provide supervision and oversight to Case Managers and Peer Navigators Advocate for clients in the mental health system, including preparation of psychosocial reports; Enhance the clinical component by strengthening staff's ability to assess mental health needs; Conduct weekly one-hour individual supervision with staff to ensure quality of direct clinical services; Co-facilitate weekly group clinical case conferencing; Participate in weekly supervision; Participate in staff process Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients. Establish linkages with external mental health providers; Conduct quarterly review of client charts Support the oversight of daily program activities; Perform client escorts and visits Participate at staff trainings, staff meetings, and staff group process workshops; Qualifications: Three (3) years experience providing clinical supervision and individual therapy - preferably with at-risk youth required. Experience with youth and/or homeless population, utilizing harm reduction philosophy preferred.     Job DescriptionReports To: Sewing Supervisor Direct Reports: None FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $16/hour Responsible for producing work in a TSS sewing team-based cluster, in accordance with NSA and TSS guidelines. Essential Job Functions: Work specific zone which flexes due to variation in cycle. Within designated zone, produce specified product to required specifications using proper methods; i.e., gauging or other tools. Maintain equipment as required. Operate equipment safely and utilize methods to ensure safe operation. Properly set equipment to specific requirements. Maintain any required documentation for completeness and accuracy. Adhere to company quality standards and procedures. Adhere to all cluster requirements including proper utilization of goal boards. Use lights to alert support personnel of machine difficulties, supply needs, etc. Work in courteous cooperation with other cluster members. Employ the “bumping” technique as appropriate within the cluster. Address team issues in a timely and appropriate manner with team members/supervision. Contact supervisor as required to resolve cluster needs. Non-Essential Job Functions: Works as a team to accomplish production and manufacturing goals Other duties as assigned by TSS Sewing Supervisors Training: Necessary training will be provided on the job.
