If you are a good worker and can take direction they pretty much leave you alone
Their mission statement is far from the truth! Treat you like family? Not really. They pretty much don’t care about you.

The direct managers are pretty good. Beyond that (regional, district), they pretty much are useless.
Listen to the employees who work the floor. They KNOW the customers.

Bealls has hired too many manager from Bed Bath and Beyond. They do not belive in Bealls mission statement.
My favorite benefit was coming to work in a happy environment. With all the changes it's not so happy any more.

I have reasonly stepped down from a management position. I am now working as a Associate. I received no support from my current S.M. She really did not even care that I asked to step down. At this point I'm not happy with the management team at our store.

For me it was the family like atmosphere that have had for years. With our newer management team from Bed and Bath it's no longer a family.

Corporate has unrealistic goals and demands of employees, you get blamed for things out of your control such as when customers aren’t satisfied with the selections and give a bad rating for it (example did you like our selections? Customer says no, nothing changes, they still send us same merchandise that goes on clearance everytime but now employees get in trouble, the only consistency is inconsistency, low wage, bad and toxic management is protected by corporate
