Position Summary The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) is dedicated to helping women achieve health, balance and well-being in all phases of their lives. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treatment of various medical conditions, monitoring illnesses and disease, routine/wellness visits, performing in office procedures, inpatient/outpatient surgeries and management of Obstetrical patients to include preconception counseling, prenatal care, antenatal care, delivery and postpartum care. Working environment is sharing 1 in 3 call and occasional Midwives assisting as first call on rotating basis, with on call Physician as back up in the event of emergency or Cesarean Delivery. One local hospital and 3 satellite office locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients. Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills. Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders and conditions. Effectively monitor patient progress throughout treatment plan and care. Provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes. Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughout patients' care. Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams. Counsel patients on family planning options and provide contraceptive management. Manage menopausal symptoms and provide hormone replacement therapy when necessary. Perform in office procedures such as colposcopies, biopsies, insertion/removal of intrauterine devices, Nexplanons, pessary fittings, etc. Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy. Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed. Participate in obstetrical and surgical management of patients. Perform inpatient/outpatient surgical procedures such as total abdominal hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures (hysterectomies, oophorectomy, salpingectomy, tubal ligations), Hysteroscopy D&C, Vaginal and Cesarean Deliveries and rounding on inpatients. Robotic Training a plus, but not necessary. Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health. Complete OB/GYN consults, including those from the Emergency Department. Provide care and treatment to women during preconception counseling, prenatal, antenatal and postnatal periods. Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment. Triage, labor and delivery management. Provide support to, and work collaboratively with Certified Nurse Midwife. Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel. Participate in on-call coverage with OB/GYN Providers. Ability to multitask and manage assigned projects as directed. Stay updated on latest medical advancements and research in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) having successfully completed an accredited Undergraduate Program, Internship, and Residency Program. Must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, or equivalent. Must have and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Position Summary The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Bilingual will assist the pharmacist with drug distribution and pharmacy activities for the health center. The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Bilingual is responsible for following established pharmacy policy concerning drug patient care, 340B compliance, and pharmacy operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work within the health center's EHR to locate, retrieve or process the appropriate information required for pharmacy operations and compliance. Enter and process patients' information and transactions accurately and efficiently using Pharmacy's processing and POS systems. Count, measure and prepare specific products according to relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and ethics standards. Follow provided staging procedures appropriately. Maintain records and reports related to pharmacy functions, volume and sales. Process and troubleshoot insurance billing and claim rejections. Assist with inventory management, including checking medication expiration dates, cycle counts to maintain correct on hand quantities and completing wholesaler and reverse distributor returns. Understand and follow company guidelines regarding registers, payment and transactions. Properly inspect any equipment within the pharmacy and notify appropriate manager of any necessary repairs. Adhere to safety programs and procedures. Report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud. Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities, except those that require the judgment of a licensed pharmacist. Assist in data entry, inventory, stocking, dispensing, reporting and sales of prescriptions. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Position Summary Under limited supervision by the Chief of Adult Medicine, the Physician provides the full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients. The Physician serves as the leader within the patient centered medical home model and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that each patient gets the best possible care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads the primary care team in providing patients with primary medical services within the standard of care for Internal Medicine, (Family Practice or Osteopathic Medicine.) Participates in daily care team huddles to ensure prioritization of patient needs. Attends to patients in a timely and orderly manner to keep waiting time to a minimum and maximize productivity. Obtains appropriate patient history, performs physical evaluation, orders appropriate diagnostic tests and follows-up with interpretation, formulates assessment and initiates treatment plan with appropriate follow up appointments. Reviews incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) signs, dates and follows up with patients in a timely manner. Ensures documentation is recorded in a complete, timely and orderly manner, utilizing template in the electronic medical record. Adheres to UDS productivity and quality standards and meets average minimum requirements of 3200 billable encounters annually. Performs comprehensive examinations, including physical, developmental assessment and screening for psychosocial problems. Complete timely documentation in the EHR for each patient encounter and review patient medical records for accuracy, and completeness as outlined in BJHCHS Policy for ensuring timely medical record documentation. Requests, obtains and evaluates results of screening tests. Prescribes treatment plan for management/care for patients and families according to standards of care guidelines and refers appropriately. Develops a health maintenance plan for individual patients which includes health education, health promotion/disease prevention and general anticipatory guidance. Counsels patients and families appropriately regarding management of their care. Monitors the treatment regimen in selected populations. Assessed by medical and clinical peers through (quarterly) record audits and one on one training and observation, at least once a year, or if needed. Confer with Chief of Adult Medicine when needed for consultation, information, etc. Provides ongoing staff education based on health needs of population served. Provides individualized clinical orientation for nursing personnel in specialty area. Conduct quality assurance review utilizing clinical measures by life cycle. Serves as supervising physician for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant if needed, and signs BJH Non-Physician Collaborative Practice Agreement to establish medical aspects of care to be provided by NP/PA including prescribing medications. Serve as advocate for the center and serve as liaison to local hospitals, health organizations as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned by management Qualifications Medical degree in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Osteopathic Medicine from accredited college or university. Performs direct specialty nursing services to patients as required, ensuring adherence to Patient Centered Medical Home standards and all related policies, procedures, and guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide educational leadership to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established healthcare setting. Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care. Collaborate with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula. Initiate skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters. Provide direct specialized nursing services to an assigned group of patients, providing specialized patient care within nursing protocols and assisting in the performance of all related nursing duties. Develop patient care plans, incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consults with and serves as a resource to ensure quality patient care. Educate technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Assist in monitoring patient satisfaction and communicate with staff both positive and negative feedback Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Masters preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare institution or in customer relations including demonstrated experience in problem solving, written correspondence/documentation, coordination and interaction with senior staff and the medical community. The ability to handle sensitive issues with minimal supervision. Experience in patient relations or other clinical work, preferred.
