Provides daily pharmacy technical and professional services to inpatients, outpatients and other Health Center departments. Dispenses prescriptions and counsels patients on the correct use of medications. Provides drug information to patients and health care professionals in the Health Center. Responds to routine and emergency requests in a prompt, efficient manner requiring some independent judgment, a good level of technical knowledge and a high degree of accuracy. Consults directly with physicians if change or clarification is needed and enters appropriate clarifications in patient's charts. 4. Checks unit dose cart fill for accuracy and completeness against computer printout. 5. Compounds special topical and internal dosage forms not available through pharmaceutical manufacturers in accordance with established departmental practice. 6. Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution. 7. Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, associates, and visitors to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
