The UPS Store Sales Associate's primary role is to deliver world-class customer service while assisting clients with a variety of business needs, including shipping, packing, and printing services. Key Responsibilities Customer Service: Greeting customers, identifying their needs, answering questions about products and services, and resolving inquiries or concerns. Shipping and Packaging: Receiving, processing, and packing packages securely for courier shipment using established procedures. This includes generating shipping labels and handling damaged shipment claims. Print and Document Services: Operating copiers, fax machines, printers, binding equipment, and laminating machines. This may involve basic graphic arts tasks and preparing documents for customer print orders. Mailbox Services: Receiving, sorting, and placing mail and packages into customer mailboxes. Sales and Operations: Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately, and actively cross-selling and up-selling products and services. Store Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, stocking shelves, and assisting with merchandising displays. End-of-Day Duties: Performing opening and/or closing procedures, including reconciling cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: A high school diploma or GED is typically required. Experience: Previous retail, customer service, or a related sales experience is preferred, though some locations offer entry-level positions with no experience required. Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet applications, is necessary. The ability to quickly learn new software (shipping and POS systems) is essential. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, as well as excellent interpersonal and phone skills, are vital for effective customer interaction and teamwork. Physical Requirements: The role can be physically active, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and occasionally lift packages weighing up to 40-50 pounds (or more in some cases). Personal Attributes: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, fast learners, team players, and possess a friendly, genuinely helpful demeanor. Reports to: General Manager Position Overview: Under general supervision, Sales Associates provide guidance and education to each patient with medical marijuana needs. Associates assist every patient to ensure he or she is receiving the correct medication that will best benefit the patient's specific illness and medical condition. Pay: $16.50/hour Schedule: Full Time / including weekends Major Areas of Responsibility include: Ensures all intake forms and other paperwork is properly completed and filed correctly, then enters all appropriate information in ADILAS for future reference. Confirms patient purchase limits prior to admission intothe consultation area and informs the appropriate pharmacist of such limits. Provide Exceptional Customer Care by promoting and maintaining positive customer relations. Respond to calls or emails from customers requesting product, training, and general information. Management of patient records through the use of an MMJ database. Maintenance and update of databases as needed. Fulfillment of customer orders. Responsible for the sales and promotion of all Patriot Care products. Build and maintain a high level of integrity and trust for specific products. Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities): Must be at least 21 years of age Two years of direct customer service experience required. Retail experience a strong plus Experience with Point-of-Sales systems Understanding of and experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook Travel %:0 FLSA status: Non-exempt Additional Abilities Required: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance).
