Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Receives calls and review correspondence from homeowners.
* Schedules appointments with homeowners.

**District Overview**
Kiewit's Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, underground piping, underground utility infrastructure, and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. **Responsibilities**
+ Develop and Lead complete estimates for self-performed construction scopes of work for design/build, design/bid/build and EPC projects for **infrastructure projects (Heavy Civil, Highway, Bridge, Rail/Transit, Utilities, Drainage, Aviation)**
+ Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project; develop plan for the actual construction to serve as basis for the estimate.
+ Review and assist with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates. Review all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions.
+ Conduct site investigation prior to forming a plan of operations to identify any problems or conditions of an unusual nature that may be present.
+ Participate in constructability reviews, Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, superintendents, clients and other Kiewit districts to align expectations, phasing and scheduling of the work to ensure accuracy within the estimate.
+ Stay abreast of trends and developments, such as new equipment, methods and procedures that are developing in the industry.
+ Become proficient in Kiewit's estimating program, "InEight Estimate".
+ Provide leadership and strategy in subcontractor and vendor selection process; May lead small estimating teams and lead estimates for projects.
+ Prepare special engineering studies or reports required by certain bid items or conditions. Consult with clients/owners on various problems discovered during bid preparation, design/construction schedule changes, to ensure estimate stays on track.
**Qualifications**
+ BS in engineering, construction, estimating or similar field, and a minimum of 10+ years' related estimating infrastructure experience. Ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with estimating infrastructure self-performed construction projects (civil, earthwork, drainage, structural/bridge, grading, concrete, form-work, asphalt, underground utilities). If no degree, a minimum of 14 years experience combined in Estimating, Field Construction/Superintendent experience required
+ Experience leading estimates and small estimating teams, providing coaching/mentoring is required at this level

For this role, reporting into the Central District, we operates in the central and south-central regions of the United States. We build heavy civil and transportation projects, including highways, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams and tunnels, as well as support site development for industrial projects like data centers, water treatment facilities and power. With one of the largest equipment fleets in the region, we can mobilize to any location as a full-service construction team capable of self-performing mass grading, drainage, bridge construction, aggregate production, paving, rail and utility construction.

We are looking for Survey Cad Technicians to support projects around Central US, which could include: CO, MT, WY, ND, SD, IA, MN, NM, NE, KS, MO, MS, TN and KY. Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed and visit our district office in Lone Tree Colorado occasionally for training and meetings. When assigned to a project site, we provide per diem and trips home.
