The Supervising Engineer will oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers, designers and support staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, with extensive experience in performing the detailed design of high voltage substation projects.
What You'll Do
Review of Vendor documentation and co-ordination with internal Sourcing Team
Support to Proposal Team including preparation of Bill of Materials, develop technical concepts and provide Single Line Diagram, Layout plan etc
Co-ordinate directly with clients, engineer, sub-contractors and supplier's technical issues, and technical interfaces
Plan and perform technical design reviews together with design teams and report technical risks to line management and PM
Review Inspection and Test plan, and attend FAT for major Electrical Equipment if required
List and report all noted deviations to the engineering specifications, plan and implement corrective actions in co-operation with PM
Responsible for answering technical site questions and review / comment of non-conformance reports from site from engineering point of view

What You'll Bring
Minimum of 7 years' experience in the electric utility industry or EPC Companies performing engineering related duties and/or management for high voltage electrical substation design.
Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
P.E. license required.
Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Expert knowledge of electric utility engineering and construction standards.
Knowledge of utility industry processes including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines.
Knowledge of process and procedures for project controls and estimates.
Demonstrated experience supporting external customers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE NEC, NESC, and others.
Able to deal with ambiguity and ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and determine priorities in a complex environment.

SOP and Price Change request completion and submission as requested by Division Controller and Assistant Controller
Complete Quarterly submission of balance sheet package.
Act as a back-up to Assistant Controller when needed in projects such as Quarterly Warranty spending review schedule, New Community setup and maintenance in JDE, and review and processing of legal bills in Serengeti.

As part of this team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support a variety of substation, transmission and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV in both engineering detailed design and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) projects for clients throughout the country.

**Location**
This position is based out of our Raleigh, NC office.
**Responsibilities**
- Work with project team to create all design documents and drawings for a project, including generating transmission line design criteria for PLS-CADD, generating bills of materials, and applying field mark-ups of project as-built drawings with minimal supervision
- Assist with the usage of engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as building, modifying and analyzing transmission line, pole and tower models within PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER.
- Assist with developing construction assembly drawings, material specifications, and structure loading packages for submittal to vendors
- Review project schedules and work with project engineer to ensure projects remain on schedule
- Properly use the document management system
- Apply corporate standard engineering practices
- Assist with project activities
- Assist with the with the communication and coordination of project activities with project engineer, customer representatives, and others as needed
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work
- Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party
**Qualifications**
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
- 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
- Basic knowledge and understanding of:
- AC/DC fundamentals
- per-unit mathematics and symmetrical components
- design documents and drawings necessary to complete a project
- engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI
- common Word processing, Spreadsheet, and E-mail software
- Working in a team environment
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, vendors, clients, etc.

Program Summary
Lennar's Construction Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship beginning in June for rising college seniors, in which associates apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world projects and challenges. The program will facilitate participants' development of essential interpersonal and technical skills, and position associates for future career success and leadership opportunities. Associates will work alongside seasoned professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture while contributing to impactful projects, and become immersed in Lennar's culture through onboarding (including a visit to a Lennar Community), hands-on training, and teambuilding.

Construction Intern Responsibilities:
* Support the supervision and scheduling of daily trade partner activities while ensuring compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes
* Communicate construction progress/feedback and home completion date to the company through weekly reports
* Work closely with trade partners and the management team to ensure open communication on all matters; produce quality work and provide proactive resolution of issues that may arise
* Maintain and organize construction files for use by management and other field Associates
Requirements:
* Current Junior working towards a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred)
* Working towards a bachelor's degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, business, or similar degree
* Must be authorized to work in the United States
* Valid driver's license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage
