Project Overview: Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Individual will provide direct support to superintendents and craft professionals, including, but not limited to, work package creation and maintenance, quality control, quantity verifications, material take-offs, material verifications, design change coordination, and general problem solving all in support of meeting project cost and time schedules. Project involves a significant civil/structural scope involving both structural concrete and structural steel. Candidate should be well versed in concrete operations and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Codes and Standards. Candidate should be well versed in structural steel erection and the American Institute of Steel Construction manual and standards. Candidate should be able to proficiently work in high-paced environments and manage change while upholding Bechtel Safety and Quality standards. \#LI-SM2 # Major Responsibilities: + Collaborate with engineering teams to address constructability and design challenges related to commodity installations and work sequencing + Provide comprehensive field engineering support to superintendents and project personnel, ensuring adherence to cost and schedule objectives + Develop work plans, perform material take-offs, create material requisitions, perform and document quality control inspections, report installation progress, and resolve design and construction conflicts related to the installation and testing of civil/structural commodities + Perform civil field engineering activities including inspections, audits, and planning to support the installation of formwork, rebar, concrete, structural steel, architectural commodities, and earthworks + Assure procedural compliance for work being completed in the field + Review specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals, and technical data to assist and advise on site. + Oversee, interface, and coordinate with subcontractors and subcontractor work efforts. Assist in the management of subcontract changes # Education and Experience Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related subject from an accredited university; or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of progressive civil related construction/craft experience, civil engineering, and/or civil field engineering experience. # Required Knowledge and Skills: **Basic Qualifications** + Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which may require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE), walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces. + Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen + Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program. # Preferred Qualifications + An understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes, including Standard Work Process Procedures, is preferred. + Experience in semiconductor fabrication facilities is preferred. + Working knowledge of ACI 301, 318, 117-10, 305R, 306R, CRSI, AISC, RCSC + Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and other automation tools used on Bechtel projects. + Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. + Excellent communication and problem-solving ability. # Total Rewards/Benefits: For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
