# Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant for Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. (BEO) reports directly to the BEO Support Services Manager, and will also provide support to and receive direction from the BEO management team. This position performs a variety of administrative and facilities functions for the BEO Sugar Land office. \#LI-TH1
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Perform a variety of administrative duties of either a general or a specialized nature through research, analysis, and coordination with other functions and disciplines. Coordinate special activities and programs with manager's input and approval.
+ Receives and screens phone calls and visitors and directs them to the appropriate person. Collects, reviews, and distributes incoming hard copy mail and prepares outgoing mail to ensure accuracy. Coordinates meetings, arranging for facilities, equipment, and refreshments. Organizes material for meetings and presentations by preparing and distributing notices, agendas, information packets, and minutes. Independently manages calendars and coordinates complex travel arrangements for the responsible managers, if applicable. Prepares itineraries and completes expense reports when required. Maintains BEO Outlook distribution lists and BEO phone list.
+ Acts as a facilities coordinator responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a variety of office services functions, such as office moves, renovation activities, food services, reception duties, printing services, communications, mail, space allocation, office supplies, furniture and equipment and miscellaneous services.
+ Keeps reproductive equipment (copiers) serviced, order supplies, fill paper/toner. Manages office supplies and maintain inventory (purchase as needed). Administers the BEO conference rooms scheduling, order catering, if applicable. Coordinates office moves, adds and changes, and works with Procurement on office needs. Provides input and assists with the compliance of ES&H Core Processes for Office Facilities. Coordinates of all first aid related items including (but not limited to) the maintenance of first aid kits and AED supplies and checks.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of related administrative experience supporting executive management is preferred. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must be a US Citizen.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Knowledge of standards and practices related to office and administrative services.
+ Knowledge of applicable industry, legislative and regulatory standards.
+ Knowledge of technology, including hardware and software applications for administrative services functions.
+ Understanding of computer systems used by disciplines/groups that have interface requirements with administration.
+ Previous experience with procurement processes and accounts payable.
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of management.

12. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of concrete pumps in accordance with regulations and standards.
13. Able to perform both preventative and general maintenance on concrete pumps and equipment.
14. Pump concrete with precision and accuracy. Observe the concrete being poured to ensure it is delivered to the desired location.
15. Must be able to read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
16. Understands the basics of concrete placement and the properties of concrete
17. Knowledge of operating the controls of a concrete mixer.
18. Cleaning the drum at the end of each job to ensure that no concrete remains.
19. Making adjustments as necessary to keep the concrete pump in good operation condition.
20. NCCCO Certified Concrete Pump Operator preferred.
21. The ability to safely lift 50 pounds, stand or extended periods of time, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop and kneel. Must be able to work in a variety of positions, including at heights and in confined spaces.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

**The Opportunity**
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in design execution efforts, along with:
+ Review and evaluate the facility and equipment to determine the appropriate fire protection requirements.
+ Support projects such as Power Plants, Oil and Gas processing facilities, Data Centers or Water Treatment facilities.
+ Proactively communicate fire protection requirements and guidance to both internal and external clients. Generate detailed fire protection specifications.
+ Generate piping and instrument diagrams and perform hydraulic calculations.
+ Review detailed sprinkler and alarm drawings/calculations for accuracy and compliance with codes.
+ Communicate with city and local official.
+ Independently apply knowledge and maintain a culture that supports the implementation of quality.
**The Team**
The Mechanical Engineering Department is a global team that delivershigh quality, on time design and services projects in the areas of Power, Gas, Fuels & Chemicals, Water and Waste Water, Data Centers, and Mining including everything Mechanically related to Process and Power (from Conventional, Combined Heat and Power, Hydro, Hydrogen, Nuclear, Solar/Renewable, LNG, Ammonia, Fertilizer) projects to specialized Air Quality Control, HVAC, Fire Protection, Piping, Thermal and Renewable performance estimating and testing.
The Buildings Mechanical Engineering team is responsible for designing systems that associated with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) in buildings. They also design plumbing and fire protection systems to ensure the safety and comfort of occupants. Additionally, the team focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability to optimize building performance while meeting the specific needs and requirements of each project.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Knowledge in the following areas:
+ State and local codes and standards. (i.e.: IBC, IFC, NFPA, etc....)
+ Fire protection design for Power Plants, Oil and Gas processing facility, Water treatment facility or Data Centers
+ Construction & constructability practices & principles.
+ Procurement & contract administration.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
**Work Environment and Schedule**
+ This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also be require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
+ Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

# Project Overview:
The Regional Certified Rigging Engineer (CRE) is based at Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc., located in Sugar Land, TX, which provides operational and technical support to Bechtel's Infrastructure, Manufacturing & Technology, and Nuclear Safety & Environmental business units.
# Job Summary:
The Regional CRE provides operational and technical direction to all Bechtel projects, rigging engineers, assigned construction engineers, construction personnel, including craft, regarding rigging-related construction processes, procedures, and requirements. The Regional CRE will provide operational guidance on behalf of GBU or regional management. \#LI-BH1
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for heavy lift and heavy haul operations across M&M, NS&E, and M&T GBUs.
+ Coordinate with engineering teams on plant layout, foundation design, vessel/module design, lifting provisions, and load verification.
+ Assess and plan crane and heavy transport requirements; support preparation of Construction Equipment Schedules (CES) and associated budgets.
+ Provide recommendations for equipment selection related to heavy lift and heavy haul operations.
+ Define scope of work for subcontract packages and collaborate with Contracts to establish heavy lift/heavy haul subcontracts.
+ Prepare technical specifications and evaluate technical proposals for subcontractor bid packages.
+ Develop rigging execution plans and review/approve medium and critical lift and transport studies.
+ Select cranes, lifting hardware, and equipment to ensure safe execution of medium, heavy, and critical lifts.
+ Monitor compliance with approved rigging plans, applicable codes, and safety standards; conduct audits to verify adherence.
+ Provide operational and technical guidance to subordinates, subcontractors, and rigging crews; advise senior management as needed.
+ Coordinate with Traffic & Logistics on feasibility of heavy/oversize haul, barging, and marine operations.
+ Provide input to Procurement for specialized lifting and transport subcontracts.Prepare rigging plans, calculations, and specifications for rigging materials and lifting equipment.
+ Deliver rigging training courses for site personnel as required.
+ Collaborate with safety personnel to ensure compliance with rigging-related safety procedures.
+ Represent Bechtel in meetings with vendors and subcontractors, providing technical expertise on lifting and transport execution.
+ Support BEO equipment personnel with operational expertise.
+ Stay current with industry practices and developments to enhance safety and deliver commercial advantages to Bechtel.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; PE license preferred (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ International experience includes proven work as a Certified Rigging Engineer on construction projects outside the country of origin.
+ Industry expertise spans Heavy Lift and Heavy Haul Operations, covering lifting equipment and heavy lift cranes, specialized cranes and alternative lifting systems, tailing techniques and rigging equipment, transport and transfer of equipment, marine works and soil mechanics, and load distribution systems and structural design.
+ Technical proficiency includes advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME B30.20 and BTH-1, along with advanced CAD drafting skills, with AutoCAD preferred.
+ Specialized knowledge encompasses barge crane operations, marine offloading facilities, piling equipment, and matting design.
+ Safety and compliance expertise reflects a strong understanding of the Bechtel ES&H Handbook, Core Processes, and the "Zero Accidents" safety program.
+ Additionally, there is industry influence through the ability to engage with associations and contribute to the development of codes and best practices for rigging safety.
