Job Title: Journeyman Mechanic Division: Equipment Supervisor: Shop Foreman Job Summary: Under limited supervision from the shop foreman, the journeyman mechanic is responsible for performing work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment and overseeing special projects. Duties and Responsibilities: * Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values. * Perform duties of a mechanic class 2. * Direct the work of several projects. * Welding and fabrication. * Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment; perform major engine and transmission repairs and replacements as well as electrical diagnosis. * Perform plant inspections, diagnose any problems, and perform plant maintenance, including electrical. * Complete major road calls and perform field repairs. * Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment. * Prepare and maintain records and reports. * Maintain tools as required to do the job. * Operate forklift. * Maintain insurable driving record. * Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all time. Duties & Responsibilities Installation of AWW, PL + Metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, misc. specialties. Preplanning: tools needed, materials, installation techniques that is the fastest and safest way possible. Safety Responsibilities: Responsible to follow and participate in the ISEC Safety Program and adhere to the ISEC Safety Promise. Perform their jobs in the safest manner prescribed - Never put themselves in harm's way. Conduct themselves in a way that enhances their personal safety and that of their coworkers contributing to a positive work environment. Report workplace hazards and make suggestions for their control. Use Stop Work Authority and respect Stop Work Authority on job. Cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the safety program. Report all injuries and incidents as soon as possible.
